CEAL's Consultative Resource (CEACR) brought together experts from the community and academic settings to discuss how community partners in community-engaged research (CEnR) can be meaningfully supported beyond providing resources and equitable compensation. 'Relational Depth is Political: Connection in its Context' -- Just putting together a new talk for the Therapy and Social Change conference, this Sunday. For many of us, as therapists, relational depth is at the heart of our practice; and I want to suggest in this introduction to the conference that deepening of connection comes through acknowledging, rather than bracketing, our political world. Gearing up for the election on Thursday and thinking about what the role of therapy and therapists can be in the political landscape.
