Dear connections, I would like to share with you a new Revit Plug-in among my package tools My new application called *NwcExporter* which enables Revit users to Background exporting multiple Revit - IFC files into .NWC with customized Navisworks export settings whether by manually select it from user interface OR by importing XML file carries these settings *which could be exported from Revit* The Add-in is pretty dynamic and time saver in cases of the frequent need of model reviewing through Navisworks I considered handling - Inserting invalid extension files. - Executing without files on the list. - Adding the same file. - The non-existence of the selected view to export in terms of specific segment of its name Looking forward to hear feedbacks ....

This approach would fix the Dll Hell inside #Revit. Maybe #Autodesk team should implement AssemblyLoadContext in the next Revit version.
NET Core have the class AssemblyLoadContext that could be used to create your own scope to load any assembly that you want without worrying about conflict with another assembly already loaded in the main AppDomain. This would probably fix the assembly hell when loading plugins inside Revit, not sure if have some downside to do that. Looks promising, and maybe should be the default way Revit loads addins inside Revit, each addin with his own AssemblyLoadContext. I manage to make RevitLookup to run in a different context with an assembly that I know that have some conflict. GitHub Issue with the conflict: https://lnkd.in/dUe9xB83 This is just an experiment with the AssemblyLoadContext and RevitLookup 2025. #Revit #RevitAPI #Autodesk
