🌟 Exploring Sula Vineyard: Insights on the Growing Indian Wine Market🌟 My recent visit to Sula Vineyard was an eye-opener into the flourishing wine industry in India. Beyond the beautiful ambiance and fantastic wine tasting sessions, Sula’s journey from a small venture to a market leader is truly inspiring. With the Indian wine market projected to reach USD 1.27 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of over 20%, it's clear that wine culture is rapidly gaining traction. This growth is largely driven by a young, urban population increasingly embracing wine as their beverage of choice. Maharashtra, home to Sula, produces over 80% of India’s wine, making it the epicenter of this booming industry. Visiting Sula not only offers a delightful experience but also a deeper understanding of the passion and innovation driving the Indian wine market forward. Have you explored any wineries that impressed you with their story and innovation? Share your experiences! #SulaVineyard #WineIndustry #MarketGrowth #Innovation #wine

Crown jewel in a crown cap? Pet Nat or Pétillant Naturel in French, is a style that has seen both acceptance and dismal in equal measures in the wine world ever since it started showing up en masse in natural wine bars and industry fairs about a decade ago. Simply put, it's a style that sees wine being bottled post the initial fermentation and hence ending up as sometimes hazy, funky, downright delicious or simply unpalatable for some. It has a slight fizz that occurs because of the CO2 produced by the fermenting yeast. When the Natural Wine movement gained momentum, this style had been the flag bearer for many of the esoteric winemakers to make their own statement and also a new order of wine yuppies who proudly embraced this lost style that find its roots in South West of France in the 1500s. Pet Nat may have found a cult following with some trophy wines making their way to top shelves commanding top dollar but the style is yet to make its Indian debut! Could it work? Perhaps not. It'll take a brave importer and an equally enthusiastic consumer to make a dent in the Indian wine market which is still finding its most favourite styles. I have been sceptical about the willingness of consumers to drink wines from a can. You may think I am a snob, but for me, drinking wine is more of a ritual and part of an experience. In the past, these were usually more formal, and celebratory, and this comes with the decanting, the glasses, and everything else that comes with wine drinking. Over the last 5 years, I have changed my POV. I now believe there are occasions when I will be willing to, and actually may prefer to drink wine from a can. Why would I carry 2 bottles of wine, in a big chiller, a corkscrew and glasses, when out on a picnic? This has also coincided with better quality wine being available in a can. This is not the first growth from Bordeaux or a Burgundy. However, this is fresh, fruity and drinkable good quality liquid. I am glad to see India’s Sula Vineyards playing their part like they have for over two decades, in educating the Indian consumer about wine in a can. It is still very early in the journey, but I would put my money on Rajeev Samant and the Sula Vineyards team, to change how consumers think about the product, create new occasions and grow the canned wine market. https://lnkd.in/gWxdM2CG #insurgentbrands #india #wine #cpg #alcobev

🍇 Do you know about the Rabigato grapes? Rabigato, a grape native to Portugal, flourishes in several regions across the country, with a particular affinity for the Upper Douro region. It thrives in dry soils and moderate climates, contributing to its unique character. In terms of flavour profile, Rabigato offers a balanced and fresh taste, with subtle notes of Acacia and Orange Blossom 🌸🍊. Its distinguishing feature is its high acidity, making it an excellent candidate for blending with less acidic varieties. Wines crafted from Rabigato grapes typically exhibit crisp acidity, good alcohol levels, and a refreshing structure. Here are our recommendations: 🍷 CARM Rabigato - White Wine 🍷 Castello d'Alba Douro - White Wine You know where to find them! 😉 #whitewine #rabigato #grapewine #portugalwine #dourowine #douroregion #portuguesewine #winelover #winetasting #instawine

📝Pale yellow, with fine, integrated bubbles. Primary aromas are fruity and floral with scents of wisteria and white peach, along with gentle yeasty complexity. Fresh palate core thanks to vibrant refreshing acidity and a juicy taste.
