Talent retention in healthcare and mental health requires a holistic approach. An often forgotten aspect of what makes employees choose a workplace is health communication. Here is one of the mistakes in retention. Mistake 4: Rigid Hierarchies and Communication Blockades An environment where ideas can't flow leads to frustration. Break down communication barriers and foster a culture of open dialogue. One of the signs that this is occurring is when staff begin to get the opinion of several colleagues before they share their thoughts or ask questions. How does your healthcare or mental health organization foster open dialogue? Share your experiences and strategies in the comments. #CommunicationInHealthcare #LeadershipBeyondBurnout #retention #workplacewellbeing #workplaceculture

We want to highlight something today on #worldmentalhealthday that is sometimes forgotten in the conversation.. mental health at work is not just and individuals responsibility, the environment has to be one in which mental health can naturally thrive. Supports for employees are crucial (please keep doing them) but setting up a work environment in which those supported can actually make an impact is even better For example: you can provide a mental health workshop that gives employees with tools for management of burn out, but if your workloads are too much and causing burn out, those tools don’t really make an impact. You can build team engagement activities for people to feel safer in their work environment, but if you don’t provide equitable and non precarious employment, the safety feeling can only ever go so far. Let’s think about how important the environment really is to our personal and business success and while supporting folks , let’s make sure that hand in hand we are transforming our environments to be one where well being is not an initiative but a way of living and working . . . #employeewellbeing #employeementalhealth #mentalhealthatwork #mentalhealthmatters #healthyworkplaces #thrivingworkplaces #feelgoodwork #futureofwork

🌟 Challenging Mental Health Stigma in Corporate Culture 🌟 As leaders, it's our duty to address mental health stigma in the workplace. Mental well-being is as important as physical health, and understanding both chronic and acute issues is crucial. Employees should feel safe to share their struggles without fear of judgment, The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for connection and safe spaces for these discussions. Creating a trusted environment where employees can openly discuss mental health is essential. Recognizing employees as whole beings allows us to fully appreciate their contributions. Let’s commit to breaking stigmas and building a supportive workplace culture. Together, we can ensure everyone feels seen, heard, and safe. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #Leadership #CorporateCulture #MentalHealthMatters #SafeSpaces #EmployeeWellbeing #BreakTheStigma
