The City of Amsterdam is going to 30 km/h driver speed limits to lower driver collisions by 20-30%, reduce carbon emissions and make for more equitable streets for users. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗮𝗦 Theory and practice - what's the quickest way to get around the city? We explored this question at our HAFAS User Conference 2013 and organized our own rally through Hannover. The locations of the participants were tracked in real time and transmitted to the Hannover Congress Centrum. Public transport, stretch limousine, bicycle rickshaw, Segway, baby stroller, horse-drawn carriage, recumbent bike and many other means of transportation formed a truly multimodal field of contestants.
