This month, the latest issue of the Global Water Intelligence (GWI) magazine has release an exciting story about Island nations such as Jamaica, Fiji, Bahamas and Trinidad and Tobago are embracing performance-based NRW reduction contracts. At MIYA, we are we haven been carrying out this kind of projects for over 10 years, are ready to embark on new projects and to become the go to solution for NRW water projects not only among Island nations but worldwide. We are delighted that our CEO, Noam Komy was invited to take part in this story. In Noam´s words: “We strongly believe in our ability to achieve the results, and that we can guarantee that by taking significant exposure via the performance-based mechanism. All our NRW projects are designed to repay themselves by the savings created by the NRW reduction over the lifetime of the contract.” 💧FIGURES • In Kingston and Saint Andrews, Jamaica, in the period between 2015 and 2021, Non-Revenue Water dropped from 69% to 37%. • In Portmore, Jamaica, since the inception of the project, Non-Revenue Water was reduced from 61% to 46%. • In Nassau, Bahamas, since 2012, Non-Revenue Water has decreased from 58% to 22%.

Unlocking the potential for economic growth in Scotland County has been an exciting journey for us at WK Dickson & Co., Inc., but we’ve faced a common challenge – securing funding for wastewater treatment enhancements. However, with the infusion of the ARPA funds, Scotland County and its partners have identified a path to begin implementing the longstanding vision to turn this WWTP into a regional facility. #ARPAfunding #InvestInInfrastructure #RegionalTransformation
