If you want a perfect example of the boundlessness of London-centricity in the UK (and how the US often sees the UK as synonymous with London), look no further than SXSW’s plans for a UK edition of the event (coming next year). 🌍 Part of the magic of SXSW is that it's held in Austin – a vibrant, creative, and free-spirited city that stands in stark contrast to the soulless financial districts of New York. Yes, SXSW is ultimately driven by big business, but Austin's liberal and artistic vibe makes it a place where the tech sector can truly let its hair down and mix it with creative and cultural trend setters. The city's culture intertwines with the event’s ethos, much like how the blues is integral to Memphis. 🎶 So, where do the organisers choose for the UK edition? Dynamic Manchester? Trendy Brighton? Cultural Liverpool? Wrong. They chose dominant, obvious London. And to give it that vibrant, anti-corporate feel, they’ve specifically picked Shoreditch – now little more than an overpriced caricature and theme park of street culture, right on the doorstep of the City. 🏙️ What a shame and missed opportunity for SXSW’s UK expansion to be hosted in a city that could truly match and amplify its energy. What a missed opportunity for the UK to showcase globally the creative and entrepreneurial talent and energy that exists outside the M25. 🌟 Next up, let's plop the Edinburgh Fringe in the middle of Wall Street. 🎭

The CCI National Leader's Conference was a remarkable blend of knowledge-sharing, networking, and exploring the beautiful city of Halifax. This event brought together condominium managers, board members, and exhibitors from across the country, creating a vibrant community dedicated to the advancement of condominium living. Real Estate 360 had a great turnout of our staff members, demonstrating our commitment to continuous learning and excellence in condominium management. A special shoutout to Andrew Buchanan, our Director of Condominiums, who actively participated in several panels. His insights were invaluable, and his contributions, alongside those of other esteemed panellists and speakers, provided a wealth of knowledge for all attendees.
