FIT HR Case Study #1: Company Saves Time, Money, and Missteps via Fractional HR Expert ISSUES: The leadership at a growing company knew they needed professional HR support but couldn’t yet justify the cost to hire a full-time HR executive. As challenges mounted, they didn’t know what they didn’t know. SOLUTIONS: At that inflection point, they brought in a FIT HR fractional consultant on a monthly retainer. Findings from FIT’s HR discovery assessment and roadmap revealed the organization had outgrown their paper-dependent processes. So, it was time for a HR information system (HRIS) to track PTO, manage online employee files, automate benefit enrollment and onboarding, and ensure compliance. FIT HR also established a crucial recruitment strategy to support additional growth. As the company grew, the FIT HR consultant held a seat on the leadership team, till the time was right to hire a full-time HR leader who continued to run HR internally. OUTCOMES: The results were many: saved time, money, and missteps by choosing fractional over an expensive, full-time HR executive. Leap-frogging over problems that non-HR professionals simply can’t foresee. Fast-tracking process improvements with complete accuracy and compliance. Establishing efficiencies that lead to boosted revenue, fewer miscommunications, and a common, culture-driving language. With their continual access to a proven HR expert, the company also, by extension, retained the entire FIT HR consultancy of professionals who live and breathe all the best practices of HR. They tapped decades’ worth of knowledge and resources. And they avoided problems that as non-HR professionals they can’t predict, solve, or mitigate. Does your company need flexible HR assistance? 🌟 Fractional is the Future 🌟 You're probably thinking, "Wait a minute, why is this in-house strategic HR pro talking about fractional?" It's really simple: I understand the value of strategic HR, and I know not all companies are ready for or have the resources to invest in a full-time team. That's where fractional unlocks access for all companies to have strategic HR advisors. In today's evolving business landscape, the role of HR has evolved as well. As strategic advisors, HR professionals are becoming more consultative, guiding companies through complex business challenges, leveraging arguably the most extensive expertise required to do the job well. Small and mid-sized businesses often face the dilemma of needing a strategic HR advisor without the resources to invest in a full-time team. This is where fractional HR comes in as a game-changer. By partnering with fractional HR experts, companies can access top-tier strategic guidance and operational support without the overhead. Here are a few reasons why fractional HR is gaining traction: 1️⃣ Cost Efficiency: Small companies can benefit from experienced HR professionals without the high overhead costs. 2️⃣ Expertise On-Demand: Fractional HR allows businesses to tap into specialized knowledge exactly when they need it, from strategic planning and M&A integrations to leadership development, talent acquisition, and employee relations. 3️⃣ Scalability: As businesses grow, so do their HR needs. Fractional HR services can scale up or down seamlessly, providing flexibility that traditional hiring models often can't match. As KMA Human Resources Consulting explains, a fractional HR consultant is a readily available, flexible, and seamless part of your team. #fractionalhr #humanresource #hrconsulting
Fractional HR consultants can support your HR functions in diverse ways, addressing your unique challenges and goals, and providing expert guidance in the following key ways: Expertise on Demand: HR consultants typically bring years of experience and industry knowledge to the table. They can assist with strategic planning, legal compliance, performance management, and talent acquisition, among other critical HR functions. This expertise can help organizations swiftly adapt to changing HR dynamics. Cost-Effective Solutions: Hiring a full-time HR expert can be expensive, especially if you only require their services part-time. Fractional HR consultants provide cost-effective solutions, as you pay only for the specific services you need, when you need them, thus reducing overhead. Tailored Strategies: HR consultants are collaborative and can create tailored HR strategies that align with your business objectives. They can develop comprehensive HR plans that address specific pain points, such as high turnover, non-productive behaviors in the workplace, or adapting to remote work. Versatility: When you work with HR consultants, you are able to tap into a diverse and versatile skill set. Whether it’s crafting a compensation plan to attract and retain top talent or implementing employee development programs, HR consultants can handle a broad spectrum of workplace challenges. Immediate Results: The onboarding process for a seasoned HR consultant is likely much faster than hiring a full-time employee. This means that organizations can see results more quickly, which is essential in addressing urgent HR issues or seizing opportunities in a competitive talent market. Founder Jew House Enterprise. Book author and ghostwriter for busy entrepreneurs. HR consultant specializing in talent acquisition, employee productivity, organizational growth, and reduced employee turnover.
If you run an SME (small and medium-scale business) and you can't afford a full-time HR professional, I have a solution for you. Allow me to introduce you to fractional HR. Currently, one of the emerging trends in human resources (HR) that is constantly gaining momentum and significant traction is the concept of fractional HR. The reason for this is not far-fetched; we live in a dynamic business landscape where companies are striving to cut costs while at the same time remaining profitable. Not all organizations can afford full-time employees, especially skilled employees who can manage sensitive positions such as HR. So because of this, companies are looking for creative and innovative ways to get the most out of these key positions. We all can agree that positions such as HR management play a pivotal role in organizational and business success; however, not all organizations, especially SME's, have the required resources to employ full-time HR professionals. So this is where fractional HR comes in. As a HR consultant, I would say that fractional HR simply means outsourcing HR services on a part-time basis. You see, this fractional model of HR enables SME's to conveniently access HR professionals with the required expertise, skills, and experience to meet their organizational and specific needs. So how can fractional HR be beneficial to your business? 1. Scalable HR System: Fractional HR services are scalable, meaning they can be sized up or down based on your company's changing HR needs. 2. Cost-effective Leadership: By leveraging fractional HR, your company can access experienced HR professionals on a cost-effective basis. This enables them to receive leadership and guidance without the burden of a full-time salary commitment. 3. Data-driven Support: Fractional HR consultants provide unbiased insights based on data analysis, allowing companies to make informed decisions. 4. Ease of Severability: With fractional HR, there is no need for lengthy termination processes or severance packages. Companies can easily disengage from the partnership at will. If you run an SME and you need a strategic fractional HR partnership, all you have to do is simply send me a DM and let's collaborate. If you are seeing my post for the first time, I'm Chikwendu Obioma, your favorite HR expert and consultant. #HR #FractionalHR #SME #SmallBusiness #BusinessStrategy #Leadership #BusinessSuccess #BusinessConsulting
