I did a thing. At Paddy & Scott's, we are constantly pushed to take risks at our leadership team meetings to step out of our comfort zones. So when the incredible Little Lifts team asked me to join their sponsored skydive for charity, despite my extreme fear of heights, I couldn’t say no. For months, I agonized over everything that could go wrong and questioned my decision. But yesterday, it all came together. I jumped out of a plane at 13,000 feet for a fantastic cause. I wasn’t alone—six fellow Little Lifts jumpers joined, and everyone nailed it. This experience taught me a lot. First, taking risks is crucial. Without risks, there’s no opportunity to overcome challenges. The biggest lesson? The power of SUPPORT and TEAMWORK. I arrived at the airfield, nerves in full swing, with my amazing family supporting me. To my surprise, Jonathan Reed and Zoe Hill, our company owners, were there too, cheering me on. Would I have signed up if it wasn’t for Little Lifts? NO. Would I have gone through with it without the amazing support from my family, friends, and colleagues? Maybe not, but their support made all the difference. One of the best experiences of my life. I encourage everyone to take a risk. It doesn’t have to be skydiving, but I highly recommend it 🪂 #TakeRisks #Teamwork #Support #Skydiving #LittleLifts #PaddyandScotts #Fuellingambition

The success and inspirational story of J.K. Rowling. J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, was: 1. A single mother living on welfare. 2. Diagnosed with depression and anxiety. 3. Rejected by 12 publishers. But she didn't give up. Rowling wrote much of the first Harry Potter book in local cafes, as she didn't have a computer or a quiet place to work at home. Her determination and passion led to: 1. 500 million+ copies sold worldwide. 2. A film franchise grossing $7.7 billion. 3. Philanthropic efforts supporting multiple charities. Lessons from Rowling's Story: 1. Persevere through adversity. 2. Believe in yourself and your abilities. 3. Perfection is not required; progress is. 4. Persevere through rejection and criticism. 5. Your passion and creativity can change lives. Story that inspires are much needed in the rollercoaster of life. Do you agree ? #linkedin #learning

We are so incredibly proud of our athletes who competed in bowling and soccer with the Laramie Special Olympics team this Fall! Look at all of these hard-earned smiles, medals, and ribbons! 🏅😊 Thank you to everyone, especially our DSPs, who put time into making this season a great one! 💜 #SpecialOlympics #SpecialOlympicsWY #TeamLaramie #Fall2024 #friendship #inclusion #diversity #disabilityadvocate #support #awareness #qualityservices #companion #respite #homemaker #community #peaceofmind #peoplefirst #nonprofit #disabilities #advocacy #makeadifference #bethedifference #inthistogether Video Description: This video is a little less than a minute long. An upbeat jingle with electric guitar melodies, rock drums, whistling, and periodic shouts of “Hey!” plays in the background. There are several images of a soccer game being played, bowlers bowling, and our participants holding up gold, silver, and bronze medals, and also fourth place ribbons. We see pictures of athletes posing with their teams. At the end of the video, we see pictures of our athletes dressed up for the old Hollywood theme and having fun dancing the night away after state games.

Our client, John's Crazy Socks has now produced the world’s first pair of #braille socks with tactile letters. The Braille Crew Socks have the word “Inspire” written in raised braille lettering around the top band, while the braille alphabet covers each sock. John’s Crazy Socks will donate 10% from the sale of each pair of the Braille Crew Socks to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, a Long Island-based national nonprofit that provides guide dogs, free-of-charge, to individuals who are #blind or have low vision. News 12 Long Island devoted over two and a half minutes of media coverage to the introduction of the socks throughout their broadcast day: Preview: https://lnkd.in/ezFhpEux Morning: https://lnkd.in/e492aPuu Evening Segment: https://lnkd.in/eutcYgaC The inspiration for these socks comes from Holly Connor of Clayton, Missouri who submitted a design as part of John’s Crazy Sock’s 2023 Autism Can Do Scholarship contest. Holly’s design earned her a $2,500 scholarship. Holly is both blind and autistic and wanted to raise awareness about the Braille alphabet and her inspirational story. It took the design team months to produce the three-dimensional Braille Crew Socks that accurately represented the braille alphabet. John’s Crazy Socks tested each prototype for all the features they assess in a typical sock. They also needed to make sure the presentation of the braille alphabet was accurate. The Guide Dog Foundation assisted the organization in this process. #publicrelations #mediarelations #pr #media #longisland #nonprofit #b2cmarketing

I am taking part in the 2024 Sporting Wheelies CEO Wheelie Challenge! This news also coincides with Sporting Wheelies COO, and long time client of SDA Services’ Dane Cross’ incredible victory yesterday where his SDA home was enrolled AND he was also approved for Appendix H! This has been a 5 year journey for Dane, with the assistance of Greg Barry and SDA Services, so we are celebrating that HARD!!! So, what does this challenge mean for me? 👉 It will give me the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people living with disability, by improving access and inclusion and raising vital funds. 👉 I will spend the day using a wheelchair at the office and at home to gain a better understanding of the day-to-day challenges of people living with disability may face. 👉 I will experience first-hand how simple things may be incredibly difficult for someone with a disability, such as navigating into the office, getting to your desk or accessing facilities like bathrooms. (I will make sure I pop the vodka on the bottom shelf that day!!) I will need to raise a minimum of $5000 to be “officially” included in the challenge. But if I don’t get there, I am still 100% committed to taking part and will hire a wheelchair if needed. If you want to learn more (or have $5 spare to donate), please click on this link: https://lnkd.in/gpjyACCH
