Always lead with candy, not medicine.
Planning is medicine. It isn't exciting. It takes work and thinking.
But it helps you get sh, uh, stuff, done. And the thing is, working to a plan is like finding time in the day. You get more done, feel more relaxed, and get better results.
But, you know, medicine. So, usually, we hide planning until later.
If you're willing to try some medicine and you're in New York on the 13th and 14th...
Join us.
We'll add some candy along the way.
And there's the fact that you'll love the results.

It's not just about the lessons gleaned, but also the invaluable experiences gained and meaningful friendships forged.
📍 ᴇxᴘᴇʀɪᴇɴᴄᴇꜱ ɢᴀɪɴᴇᴅ:
When the ticketing and logistics team faced a manpower shortage, I seized the opportunity to lend a hand, reinforcing my commitment to teamwork and problem-solving.
Meeting new acquaintances like Rohi, Kemi, and Ifeoma from different departments within my school was a delightful highlight, bridging connections that had previously remained distant.
An enlightening session by Eight Medical | Techstars ‘23 professionals on Basic Life Support and First Aid Training left an indelible mark. I learned crucial steps in administering first aid, including ensuring scene safety, prioritizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and calling for assistance—an essential skill set that I'm now equipped with for various emergency scenarios.
Participating in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was a profound experience (𝕀 𝕤𝕒𝕧𝕖𝕕 𝕄𝕣 𝕁𝕠𝕙𝕟- 𝕒 𝕕𝕦𝕞𝕞𝕪 𝕨𝕙𝕠 𝕨𝕖𝕟𝕥 𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕠 𝕔𝕒𝕣𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕔 𝕒𝕣𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕥 😅), reinforcing the vital steps:
🎯 Assessing responsiveness (look, listen and feel) and calling for help
🎯 Performing chest compressions and rescue breaths (always with a mask). Using an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) if available
🎯 Continuously assessing and adjusting interventions until medical assistance arrives.
📍 ᴍᴇᴀɴɪɴɢꜰᴜʟ ꜰʀɪᴇɴᴅꜱʜɪᴘꜱ ꜰᴏʀɢᴇᴅ:
Additionally, the conference facilitated meaningful connections:
🥳 Engaging with admired individuals like Emmanuel Yila fostered valuable dialogue and networking opportunities, enriching my professional circle.
🩺 Meeting Ekundayo Ayomide, a fellow mental health enthusiast, sparked insightful conversations and potential collaboration in advocacy efforts.
❤️ Building rapport with Hephzibah Olanrewaju revealed shared interests in mental health and public health, laying the foundation for a meaningful and mutually supportive bond.
In essence, the Medic'o conference transcended mere academic enrichment—it provided a platform for personal growth, professional development, and lasting connections that will undoubtedly shape my journey ahead.
