Oral Drug Delivery | Intestinal Models | Biopharmaceutics

One of the big issues in developing oral peptide formulations is the lack of clinical predictability in our current in vitro models. Building off our previous validation using small molecules, we assessed the utility of this Caco-2 Gut-on-a-Chip model for peptides and permeation enhancers and found they are more similar to ex vivo tissue models than standard in vitro models.
