Navigating farewells can be a challenging endeavor, as bidding adieu is never easy. In my tenure at Team Bruhati, I've garnered invaluable experience that has left an indelible mark on my professional journey. A heartfelt gratitude extends to Gideon Venter, Liam Vermeulen, Jose Cervero Gianni Smarrelli 🇪🇺, and my fellow team members; our collective odyssey has been nothing short of astonishing. I extend my appreciation to our visionary directors who have paved the way for fresh horizons. The triumvirate of directors, namely Manuel Di Toma 🌏, Hrishi Kuchibhotla, and Shey Mistry, stand as the stalwart pillars of Team Bruhati, exemplifying its essence. Particularly, the unwavering dedication of Hrishi Kuchibhotla has left an imprint on my aspirations. I am driven by a desire to contribute meaningfully to our society, a pursuit ignited by his inspiring presence. Reflecting on this chapter, the words of Robert Frost come to mind: "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." As I embrace new avenues, I carry with me the tapestry of experiences woven at Team Bruhati. Helen Keller's insight resonates, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." Embarking on this new trajectory, I am poised to craft a legacy that echoes positively in the broader canvas of society. In conclusion, bidding adieu is not a severance, but a commencement of uncharted prospects. As I step forward, I recall A.A. Milne's words: "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." With a heart full of gratitude and a spirit ready for fresh exploits, I stride ahead, cherishing the lessons and relationships fostered at Bruhati.

Certainly, the reluctance to pursue higher positions can be influenced by several factors 1. **Self-doubt:** Many individuals underestimate their abilities and fear they might not be qualified for a more significant role. 2. **Fear of failure:** The fear of not succeeding in a higher position can be paralyzing, causing people to stay in their comfort zones. 3. **Lack of self-awareness:** Some individuals may not recognize their own potential and the value they can bring to a higher role. 4. **Imposter syndrome:** People might believe they don't deserve the promotion and fear being exposed as a fraud. 5. **Work-life balance:** Higher positions often come with more responsibilities, which can impact work-life balance. 6. **Company culture:** A company's culture and promotion process can be a barrier. If it's not transparent or fair, it can discourage employees. 7. **Lack of mentorship and support:** A lack of guidance and mentorship can hinder one's confidence in pursuing advancement. 8. **Personal circumstances:** Life events or personal situations can also deter individuals from seeking promotions.

This week, our incredible Regional Director and Chief Service Delivery Officer, Dana N. Combs-Fenwick, celebrated her 17 year work anniversary with Career TEAM and led the TEAM in a captivating training, "A Trauma-Informed Approach to Service Delivery." Dana's engaging storytelling shed light on the importance of empathy, urging our TEAMers to be supportive and attentive to the experiences of our VIPs. Together, Dana explored ways to make a positive impact daily. Key Training Takeaways: Shift the Narrative: Change the conversation from "What's wrong with you?" to "What has happened to you?" A simple yet powerful shift in perspective can foster understanding and connection. Trauma-Informed Care (TIC): By implementing TIC, we can create an environment that truly supports and uplifts. Shannon Gottke expressed, “Every last person has a story and if we can get to it, we can make a difference!” Provide Unwavering Support: By actively listening and responding with sensitivity, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. VP of the Direct Services Division, Maxine C., shared, “Such a beautiful testament to the work that we are doing. Impacting the lives of people every single day. One person at a time. Thank you for sharing that powerful story with us Dana!” Let's continue to apply these invaluable insights and create a culture of empathy in our service delivery. Together we can make a positive impact and build stronger connections. #CareerTEAM #AllStaff #TraumaInformedCare #ServiceDelivery #EmpathyInAction
