Let's make sure your Fireworks night goes off with a bang! Each year we see this event light up our community and fuel fundraising efforts. However, we know organising a fireworks night can be daunting, but we've got a quick checklist to help get you started no matter what size your school is. 1. Find a suitable space! Remember the display needs to be at least 100 metres from any buildings (including the school!) and spectators need to be at least 25 metres away. 2. Decide whether you will run the event or hire a third party, either way, ensure you have all the right insurances in place! 3. Organise your resources, including the fireworks, any wood and any refreshments (why not involve the local community and ask for donations and sponsors to help!) 4. Ensure you've informed the right authorities like the police, local council etc 5. Round up your volunteers, you'll need medics/first aiders, lead stewards, gate security and people to help sell refreshments. 6. Ensure all paperwork is complete and everything is set to run smoothly and safely. 7. Get advertising your event! (Using your PTA Events QR code is a quick and easy way to do this!) And finally 8. Have fun! These steps are just to help get you started, we know with any event things will be different for each organisation. With PTA Events we help schools large and small streamline their events and help raise funds for good causes. Head over to our website to start planning your fireworks event today! https://zurl.co/r1yv #PTAEvents #FireworksNight #5thNovember #rememberremember #guyfawkes #firework #bonfire #nightevent #events #fundraising #schools #pta #parentandteacherassociation #teamwork

1. 200 local residents fundraise £3k for a popular street cleaner to go on holiday 2. Then, employer blocks receiving money, as against company policy. Bad times. (Subsequently agrees to match amount raised as a charity donation) 3. On the Beach hear about it. Launch a competition with a *very* narrow criteria (applicants must "love Elvis Presley, be aged between 62 and 64, be loved by the local community, be a street cleaner in Beckenham and have the surname Spiers") 4. Street cleaner wins competition. Gets holiday to equivalent value to fundraiser. Happy times. 5. On the Beach seen in a good light, and gain national press attention, all for an investment of £3k (well, frankly, probably less). I'm not big on posting ads from mega-corps that most marketers would never be able to replicate. But this is a short, snappy, cheap(ish) implementation is great as it aligns with On the Beach's product - and it's nice that someone has benefitted as a result from people fundamentally doing the right thing. Lovely.

If you’ve ever explored any of CREW’s four trail systems, you'll likely have noticed the CREW Trail Sponsor signs. These signs are a tangible way for businesses to support CREW Trust’s trail maintenance mission while publicly acknowledging our commitment to the protection and stewardship mission of the entire 70,000 acres within the CREW Project boundaries. Around 90,000 people visit the CREW trails each year - each and every one of them pass by these signs. The annual CREW Trail Sponsorship campaign remains one of our most important fundraisers, and this year we’ve added an affordable opportunity for individuals and families to also show their support. For just $250, you can have yourself or family listed on six trailhead sponsor signs as a testament to your love of CREW. It also makes a great gift to someone you know who loves CREW as much as you do! New signs will go up on October 1st and remain in place through September 2025. We'd love to add you as a sponsor for the upcoming year, but time is running out to grab the few remaining spots! If you have any questions, reach out us at rlucius@crewtrust.org! You may also grab your spot online at www.crewtrust.org/donate and select "sponsorship" under donation type! #wildlifeconservation #swfl #conservation #floridanature #floridawild #crewtrust #ConservationMatters #CREW #naturelovers #CollierCounty #leecountyflorida #environment #wetlands #bonitasprings #outdoor

BLAZE Firewalk & Glasswalk Events | Fundraising | Motivational | Mindset | Confidence | Public Speaker | Television
Fundraising has been tough for the past 4 years with no sign of it easing Fundraising through challenge events are popular with your supporters especially firewalking events but since the pandemic I’ve noticed a decline in quality and safety Big promises are made by some firewalk providers that their firewalk will be a spectacular, transformative experience. You post what they promise, an amazing event with images of flames and happy people but the reality was as exciting as a damp squib (think New Year's fireworks display in London versus a £100 box of fireworks in your back garden) Chaotic, cluttered, disorganised, disappointing, dull They rock up with some red and white tape to attach to whatever structures are in place, that’s if they’ve even thought about barriers, wood in the boot of their car (not kidding), a some hi-viz vests (why? They're not on a construction site) Pre-firewalk ‘training’ consists of talking about how amazing they think they are, their journey, singing a song, putting your hand on your heart and thinking of rainbows and unicorns The firewalk was more like a fire step…one step, two steps and off All a bit ‘meh’ and in some cases, painful You work hard with these events; your supporters work hard raising much needed funds Fundraising firewalking is a special skill that your supporters deserve Demand better next up: How to see through the shiny blurb to know just how experienced they are at providing firewalks karen@blazefirewalking.com 07712048042 #firewalking #fundraising #charity #events #FirewalkingInstructor #CorporateSupport

Spring cleaning isn't always about purging and throwing things out. Sometimes, it's about repositioning your belongings so that you can find them when you need them. Here are 3 good tips you can implement while cleaning out your closet 🚪Sort like items together. If you are storing the same item in another space, gather all of them up and choose 1 location to store them. 🚪Add labels to bins, shelves, or drawers to make it easy for people to return items to their homes. 🚪Place frequently used items within arms reach. Keep annual items up and out of the way. If you need assistance with organization, unpacking, or preparing for a move, book your FREE consultation today. #storage #closet #getorganized #declutter #purge #donate #organizingpro #homeorganizer #houstonhomeorganizer #professionalorganizerhouston #hireaprofessionalorganizer #blackprofessionalorganizers #womenowned #NABPO #NAPO #Texas #harriscounty #montgomerycounty #galvestoncounty #iOrganize #YouMatter2Us #fyp #foryou https://lnkd.in/gNMhHxTC

UPDATE #3 (06/08/2024): We want to thank the amazing community for their support, please keep sharing and let's gather all the equipment and items we need to get Closet Share up and running. Closet Share is a community-focused program dedicated to collecting local clothing donations, washing and sorting them into tiers, and cataloging them on an online store for community members to access. We provide affordable clothing solutions through a tiered system, with Tier 1 offering free clothing for low-income families and organizations, and Tier 2 allowing the broader community to purchase items at low costs. Additionally, our Bags of Rags program repurposes unusable textiles to prevent them from ending up in landfills, contributing to environmental sustainability. We are excited to announce that we have recently acquired a warehouse to expand our operations. Unfortunately, we did not receive the government funding we applied for, and the warehouse requires some renovations to get it functioning for our program. We need various supplies, and if you have any items that you would be interested in donating to Closet Share, we would greatly appreciate it. We are also always looking for volunteers to help with the growth and building of Closet Share's warehouse. Your support can make a significant difference in our community! NEW ITEMS: • Washer (1) (3 RECEIVED) - • Fridge • Steel Gratting - 20” wide x 16’ long total coverage needed- lengths of 3-4’ is best • Cleaning Supplies • Electrician • Seacan • Plumber • Hangers • Garbage Cans and Blue Bins • Outdoor Paint • Office Equipment - (Desk Received) • Shelving • Laundry Consumables (2 JUGS OF DETERGENT RECEIVED) • Stationery Supplies • Security System • White Boards • Racking for Hanging Clothes (2x4’s and poles would work) You can reach out to Melissa at 249-878-7513 or info@closetshare.ca if you have any questions or would like to donate any of the above items or even volunteer some time to our great cause. #Volunteers #volunteer #sudbury #sudburyontario #nonprofit #MakeADifference #makeanimpact
