While others are chasing A players, I'll keep championing the C players. C players actually get the top grade, and here’s why: 🧐 Curiosity. When you go into a meeting, a conversation, and into the world every day with an open mind, you find a lot more open doors than closed ones. ⚔️ Courage. This isn’t just about fighting adversity. It’s also about being a human toward all the humans around you. An easy way to be courageous? Be vulnerable. ⏰ Consistency. Show up, be persistent, develop great habits, and give all of your hard work a chance to pay off. But also, don’t be afraid of- 🦋 Change. Sometimes it’s outside of our control, and we need to embrace it. But other times, you should initiate it. When the status quo isn’t working- change isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. 🌊 Be a Closer. Sure, sellers and recruiters need to be able to close a deal. But be willing to go below surface-level with people, and make a true connection. 🔑 Care. Be passionate about what you do, how you do it and why you do it. Curate your purpose, then pursue it. And remember that positive energy is contagious. What other C-player traits am I missing?
Big fan of all of your posts, Bill… but this one really grabbed me. Couldn’t agree more. Keep going!
