Partner at Dentons | Specializing in Driving Energy and Infrastructure Projects Forward in Ukraine and Worldwide
🌿 Please vote: My ACC Renewables Committee Co-Chair Nomination for 2024! 🌿 I’m thrilled to share that I’ve nominated myself for the position of Co-Chair of the ACC Renewables Committee for 2024! If your company is a member of the ACC, I would be grateful for your support and if you decide to support me, please write me a direct message so I could share the link for voting. With my extensive experience in the renewable energy sector and a clear vision for the future, I am eager to contribute to shaping the industry and driving impactful change. Here are some of my key objectives: ⚡ Renewables in the Electricity Sector: Advocate for renewable energy producers/developers under green tariff systems, feed-in premiums, and auction system implementation. Push for mechanisms like net metering, corporate PPAs, and more to support renewable energy projects. Address barriers for self-consumption, energy storage, hybrid projects, and green hydrogen. Propose legislative amendments to improve conditions for renewable energy development in Ukraine, tackling balancing, grid connection, and other critical issues. 🌱 Renewable Gases: Work on eliminating barriers for biomethane and hydrogen projects, including their integration into the gas system and addressing challenges for export and sales. 🚗 Renewables in Other Sectors: Enhance legislation to boost the use of renewables in heating, cooling, transportation, and more sectors of the Ukrainian economy. Let’s work together to accelerate the transition to a cleaner, greener energy future! 💡 #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #ACC #CleanEnergy #EnergyTransition #GreenFuture #Biomethane #Hydrogen #Ukraine

Technological and economic advances mean the transition to clean energy is not just reachable, but inevitable. In fact, seven countries now generate nearly all of their electricity from renewable energy sources, according to newly compiled figures. Albania, Bhutan, Nepal, Paraguay, Iceland, Ethiopia and the Democratic Republic of Congo produced more than 99.7 per cent of the electricity they consumed using geothermal, hydro, solar or wind power. Additionally, data from the International Energy Agency and International Renewable Energy Agency reveals that 40 countries have generated at least half of their electricity using renewable energy technologies in 2021 and 2022, including 11 European countries (see the attached graphic). Let's continue to push for renewable energy to power our world sustainably. #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #Electricity #GreenEnergy
