Celebrating Women's Day: The Power of Diversity in Energy and Renewables As we honor Women's Day, at Turner Lovell we reflect on the vital role that diversity and inclusion play within the electricity and renewables sector. We believe in fostering a workplace that champions gender diversity, not just because it's the right thing to do, but also because it drives innovation and business success. A few insights underline this belief: A 2020 McKinsey study highlighted that companies with gender-diverse executive teams were 25% more likely to experience above-average profitability. Boston Consulting Group in 2018 connected gender-diverse management teams to a 19% increase in innovation revenue. Credit Suisse in 2017 revealed companies with at least one woman on the board enjoyed an average of 0.8% higher net income growth. The Peterson Institute for International Economics in 2015 found a direct correlation between women in leadership and profitability, with up to 6% higher net margins when women comprised 30% of leaders. At Turner Lovell, we're committed to advancing these insights into actions. As specialists in recruitment for the electricity and renewables industry, we actively support and encourage the presence of talented women at all levels of our sector. On this Women's Day, let us pledge to build a more inclusive and successful future. Because when women thrive, our industry propels forward. #WomensDay #DiversityandInclusion #RenewableEnergy #ElectricityIndustry

Women have historically been underrepresented in boardrooms worldwide, especially within the energy and associated sectors. This International Energy Association (IEA) 2022 Report calculated that women hold less than 14% of senior management roles across nearly 2,500 global energy firms. While utility sectors lead with 17% representation, challenges persist with over 25% of firms showing no women in senior roles. While work remains, progress in the utilities-related industry has been significant, thanks to pioneering women who paved the way. The industry owes a collective debt of gratitude to these women who persevered to reach the senior roles they now hold. This Women’s Month, let's celebrate these trailblazers and continue to strive for greater diversity and inclusion in the utilities-related industry. Claudia .A. Naidoo-Hedley, Sustainability Specialist at RMS, shares her advice to other pioneering women in the utility management and sustainability industry. #RMSWomensMonth24 #WomenInUtilities #DiversityInLeadership #BreakingBarriers

Shout out to Ronel le Roux for being a trailblazer in the utility management industry. She shares some challenges she faced at the start of her career: “One of my biggest challenges was not being taken seriously because of my gender. I recall an incident where a client requested a man to assist with electricity and reticulation changes, implying that women don't belong in this industry. Overcoming such challenges requires resilience, consistent performance, and results. I focus on building strong relationships, demonstrating my technical competence, and leveraging my achievements to challenge outdated perceptions.” This Women’s Month, let's celebrate these trailblazers and continue to strive for greater diversity and inclusion in the utilities-related industry. #RMSWomensMonth24 #WomenInUtilities #DiversityInLeadership #BreakingBarriers
