🌍 Embracing the Power of Business for Good 🌱 I had the pleasure of delving into Arnaud Victor BALOU-TCHICHELLE’s insightful article, “Business Development for Communities - Social and Environmental Responsibility,” featured in the #December issue of #IGC #Magazine. 📖 Arnaud’s perspective on leveraging business development as a force for positive change is nothing short of inspiring. The article delves into the intersection of corporate initiatives with social and environmental responsibility, showcasing the immense impact businesses can have on communities. 💡 Tchichelle’s work is a call to action for companies to not only thrive economically but also contribute meaningfully to the well-being of the communities they serve. It’s a testament to the idea that success is not just measured in profits but in the positive footprint left behind. 🌐 As we navigate a rapidly changing business landscape, Arnaud’s insights are a compass guiding us towards a more sustainable and responsible future. I highly recommend checking out the December issue of IGC Magazine to explore this paradigm-shifting perspective. 💥Click here to read full article -https://lnkd.in/efRmhrG7 #BusinessDevelopment #SocialResponsibility #EnvironmentalResponsibility #CommunityImpact #SustainableBusiness #IGCMagazine #ArnaudBalouTchichelle #Leadership #hotels #airlines #ChangeMakers #IshkamaGlobalChange #g100 #wef #unitednations #unengland #houseofcommons #houseoflords #bbc #media #IshkamaGlobalChange #socialmedia #SocialJustice #eventplanning #CommunityEngagement #Sustainability #EnvironmentalJustice #Empowerment #EqualityForAll #VolunteerForChange #PositiveChange #TogetherWeCan #MakeADifference #Activism #GlobalAwareness #Advocacy #EmpowerCommunities #YouthLeadership #Inclusion #CivicEngagement #britishairways

Three days in Auckland hearing from leaders, innovators and all-round incredible women in business, and now in Wellington for our next leg of Trans - Tasman Business Circle Women Leaders Study Tour. We’ve been so fortunate to hear from so many inspiring leaders, including - Kiri Hannifin discussing ESG and some of the tanglible changes needed to get to net zero, such a challenge for airline industries, - Elle Archer and Julia Arnott-Neenee Māori and Pasifika tech leaders providing pathways and opportunities as well as being fantastic role models, - Rajna Bogdanovic, Dr Elizabeth Berryman, Louise Schofield and Dr Will Reedy reimagining New Zealand’s health system and discussing the importance of prevention. It was particularly great to hear Liz and Rajna’s focus on prevention in the workplace, and interesting to (try to!) untangle some of the complexities in the current NZ health system. - and Jenny Rudd Sarah Kennedy and Angela Liew discussing the gender gap in tech start-up and capital investment. What a great place to start to make a difference - investing in women-led start-ups.

Looking back and going forward. In 2020, Topaz McAuliffe and Russell James had their work recognised in the Australian Business Guide to Implementing the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. (Report linked here.) At the time, they were leading Coles Group’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategy, with their approach to #FirstNations #employment showcased as a best practice example. Fast forward four years, Topaz and Russell have expanded their mission through 15 Times Better. Since forming 15 Times Better, we have partnered with over 50 leading Australian organisations to establish or reset their #FirstNations initiatives focusing on elevating outcomes, deepening impact, and fostering sustainable partnerships. Whilst our approach has evolved, the core principles remain consistent with those outlined in the 2020 guide - grounded in respect, inclusion, practical solutions and tangible results. As part of scaling our efforts, 15 Times Better has signed on as a sponsor of the UN Global Compact Network Australia Conference 2024: UNiting Business LIVE Australia, to be held in Sydney this October. https://lnkd.in/g3Hx557W (Link to event.) Our team will be there on the ground over this two-day event engaging with executives, board members, and emerging sustainability leaders to share insights on how to accelerate #FirstNations strategies for meaningful, measurable #impact. Please join us there. We want to explore how your organisation can achieve similar First Nations success to Coles Group, and our past and current partners. Let’s connect. #FirstNationsImpact #Sustainability #ESG #HumanRights Kate Dundas Dan Wilcock Sunita Gloster AM Karen McWilliams FCA Robin Mellon Susan Mizrahi, GAICD Anna Stewart Laura McManus

Really enjoyed facilitating the session today at our global conference with Hamish Shah and Jo Whight, both of which were excellent speakers. It was great to hear their thoughts on where progress is being made in socio economic diversity in organisations, where there are still barriers but more importantly what does work. So here are some of my take-aways: 1)Data is key, but don’t get overwhelmed by it and don’t let it stop you from moving forward. 2)The power of storytelling, and ensuring people and their lived experiences remain at the heart of the data. 3) The importance of transparency with employees - why you’re collecting data, what you will do with it, and how it will make a difference, and then just do something. 4)Empower and involve your people to make the change needed, but it's everyone's business within an organisation. 5)Collaborating with others in the sector makes a difference, it's much harder to do it on your own, and slower. 6)Don't see socio economic diversity in isolation, it cuts across so many other areas such as disability, gender and ethnicity. 7)Avoid creating homogenous groups, and see individual's. And finally, as evidenced in the research released by Progress Together and Bridge Group today, and from recent research by the Chartered Management Institute, change can happen, we just need to work out how best to accelerate that change in a sustainable way. An evening spent with powerful women who are transforming the world through sustainability 🌎 Diversity and inclusion are enshrined in our employee-owned business DNA. One of our core company values is to commit to creating a genuinely inclusive and diverse culture whilst actively and continually improving this culture. This means welcoming and supporting employees and clients with different beliefs, backgrounds, cultures and abilities. One way in which we hope to deliver this value is by working with more female founders and VCs in climate tech. To that end, our Strategic Director Lucia Schweigert recently attended the Celebrating Women Leaders in Sustainability event hosted by Green Business Action in London. Data shows that women will suffer disproportionately from the effects of the climate crisis. Solutions and innovations are based on information provided by men for men whilst women are typically neglected or overlooked. Both men and women must be at the forefront of innovations and the commercialisation of climate technology for there to be real and meaningful change. We want this to be represented in our work and through our clients. Plus, as a communications agency with a female founder, it's only natural for us to embrace and uplift women leaders. We salute the panel participants Alice Simpson and Emily Jane Taylor from SAGES London, Radiant Matter’s Elissa Brunato and Mimica’s Solveiga Pakštaitė for organically marrying storytelling and business acumen, Undaunted: Tackling climate change with innovation’s Alyssa Gilbert for hosting the panel, and Green Business Action and Sustainable Ventures for organising this important event! #DiversityAndInclusion #ClimateTech #WomenLeaders #Sustainability
