🌟 Empowered Women, Empower Mining🌟 As a proud woman in the mining industry, I’m excited to share my journey and the incredible experiences I’ve had along the way. The mining sector is not just about extracting resources; it’s about forging connections, driving innovation, and creating sustainable futures. From my start in 2002 as a Shaft helper to my current position as a Managing Director of Rosebells Trading Pty. I've faced challenges and triumphs that have shaped my career. Advocacy for diversity and inclusion has become a cornerstone of my mission because it's clear that when diverse voices come together, we can overcome any obstacle and unlock new potential. 💪 Here are some key lessons I've learned: 1. Be Bold. Don't be afraid to voice your ideas and take on leadership roles. Your perspective is invaluable. 2. Network Wisely. Building relationships within and beyond the industry opens doors to opportunities and collaborations. 3. Support Each Other. As we mark International Women's Day this year with the theme 'Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress', AME recognizes the invaluable contributions of women in the mineral exploration, development, and mining sectors. Their dedication, expertise, and diverse perspectives are essential for shaping a future of safe and socially responsible mining practices.   Investing in women is investing our industry’s future. While strides have been made, we acknowledge that there is still progress to be made in creating a truly inclusive environment for women in mineral exploration and mining. “One major way to usher in change and diversity is to make companies more resilient, more approachable, more welcoming, and more sustainable – just like the woman who could lead them,” said Maria Combrink, Deputy Chairperson, Women In Mining South Africa (WiMSA), during her opening remarks at the 15th Annual Women in Mining Conference & Career Expo, hosted by Intelligence Transfer Centre (ITC). The event features women from around world who have made visible contributions above and beyond their daily responsibilities in the mining industry. Over the next three days topics to be unpacked include whether desired targets are being reached in achieving inclusivity; investing in meaningful and progressive change for women within mining; looking at transformation as not only a regulatory requirement but a business imperative to minimise accidents and dangerous incidents in line with investing in the Health & Safety of WiM; leadership in a rapidly changing world, looking at inclusion as one of the greatest assets in ensuring long-term sustainability; and the role of digital innovation in the mining industry. #womeninmining #genderequality #transformation #healthandsafety #womenempowerment #womeninleadership

𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐞 ⛏️ 💁♀️ 🌟 Celebrating Women in Mining Deheza recently attended the #WIM100 #2024 Nominations Launch Reception, marking the opening of nominations for the 6th Edition of 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining ("WIM100"). Organised by Women In Mining UK (WIM UK), the event aims to promote the employment and advancement of women in the mining sector. Dr. Stacy Hope, WIM UK Managing Director, commented: “We started the WIM100 just over a decade ago, and since then have seen countless incredible and inspiring women be celebrated for their achievements in the mining sector.  However, we still must face the fact that in the last 10 years, while female representation in the sector has certainly improved, significant challenges still remain. This change is paving the way for diversity and inclusion, which are critical for innovation and growth.
