It is National Employee Appreciation Day! Appreciation is so important in life, and I feel passionately that it should be shared daily. With that said, I also love a good celebration of appreciation. Throughout the month of March, our employees at Alignment Health are encouraged to show their appreciation to their teams and colleagues on our employee intranet site. Using the comments section, we are inviting all leaders to post a message of appreciation to their employees to recognize their hard work and value to the team. Employees can also post notes of recognition to their colleagues. I'll share below what I shared internally because the amazing work of my Corporate Communications team members deserves to be shouted from the rooftops. ⭐️ Alison Trinidad, RN: Coach Harbaugh often says, "Who's got it better than us? Nobody!" For you, I want to tailor the quote to say, "Who knows Alignment better than you? Nobody!" Your knowledge of the organization and its intricacies drive such value for us, not to mention your attention to detail that protects us each day. Janice Lee: Your strategic approach to life and work helps you serve up thoughtful questions that make everyone around you think. You make Alignment better every day by challenging us to think about things differently and do things differently. Erin Filimon: Your judicious approach to fairness in all things, but most importantly, communication, is so valuable. You constantly think about how to communicate things in an equitable way, and it makes the organization better. Cindy K.: You allowed us to maintain both public relations and social media communications in the past year. When there is a gap and we need someone to jump in, you do so with a great attitude and deliver results. Alina Kaiser: As the newest member of the team, you have jumped in and made an immediate impact. I'm so excited to see where our social media strategy goes this year and already love your innovative ideas and approach. I hope you'll take the time today to appreciate those around you at work. Have a great day! #EmployeeAppreciation #EmployeeAppreciationDay

Employee Appreciation Day was last Friday, and we know that you were out there making an effort to make your team feel valued. This prompted us to reflect on the invaluable contributions of all team members, especially those who often go unnoticed. Today, we want to shine a spotlight on the individuals we affectionately refer to as “Quiet Contributors.”. In every organization, there are individuals who quietly go above and beyond, making invaluable contributions behind the scenes. They may not seek recognition or praise, but their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence are the foundation of success. Here are a few more characteristics of your valuable Quiet Contributors: ⏺ Dedicated and Reliable - While they may not seek recognition or praise, Quiet Contributors are known for their unwavering dedication, pride in their work, and commitment to excellence. ⏺ Team Player Mentality - As team players who collaborate effectively, they are willing to lend a helping hand, share their expertise, and support others. Their focus is on collective success rather than individual accolades. ⏺ Impact on Organizational Culture -They play a vital role in shaping organizational culture by embodying values such as integrity, humility, and dedication. Their actions set an example for others to follow and contribute to a positive work environment characterized by mutual respect, collaboration, and a focus on results. While quiet contributors may not actively seek recognition, it's essential to acknowledge and appreciate their contributions. Recognizing the efforts of these team members can boost morale, reinforce positive behaviors, and demonstrate the organization's commitment to valuing all forms of contribution, whether visible or behind the scenes. Just one of the many powerful aspects of our ONA platform, Constellation, is that we can identify the key players in your organization and how they collaborate and contribute to success - no matter how loud or quiet they are. This lets you know how the work really gets done in your organization. As we move beyond Employee Appreciation Day, let's make a commitment to ensure that every member of our team feels valued and appreciated year-round. Whether visible or behind the scenes, every contribution matters, and every team member deserves recognition for their dedication and commitment. #culturedesign #teamculture #employeeappreciation

Employee Appreciation Day serves as a reminder to consistently prioritize and celebrate the people who contribute to the success of the organization. Outside of this one-day celebration, how can leaders keep up the momentum of creating positive employee experiences throughout the year? By focusing on recognition, communication, and development. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Acknowledge and appreciate your employees consistently, not just on special occasions, and take the time to understand each employee's contributions and preferences. Recognize their efforts and achievements, whether it's in team meetings, privately (my preference!), or on a dedicated recognition platform. Personalized recognition can have a more significant impact on morale and motivation. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Foster an environment of open, transparent communication to understand employee sentiments and address potential issues promptly. Encourage two-way communication, where employees feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, concerns, and ideas, and show that you value their input and are committed to continuous improvement. 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Invest in the professional development of your employees, and celebrate milestones and achievements in their professional development. Provide opportunities for skill-building, training, and advancement. Clearly communicate the career paths available within the organization and support employees in their journey to achieve their career goals. Share what you would add to the list in the comments! 👇🏼 #EX #EmployeeExperience #EmployeeEngagement
