This is a case of a 2nd year BMS student from R.A. Podar College of Commerce & Economics. He approached me for guidance on specifically ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants),CPA (Certified Public Accountant). and other certification preparation. He is already well-informed, methodical, focused, and hardworking student Using the step ladder technique, I just helped him self-explore in depth gaining better insights and confidence in his career choices. It was a great experience interacting with him about his career choices and exploring other options that align with his personality and aspirations. As a career counselor, I find immense value in feedback from parents. It enhances the quality of my guidance, strengthens communication, and builds trust. Constructive insights help me grow professionally, while positive feedback motivates me to excel. We all analyze our plans when we fail - What went wrong? Had I not worked hard enough? Where did I lacked? What to Improve further ? And the questions are endless............But But...........We never analyze our plans once we get pass........Why so?...........Isn't it important to remember how you achieved your goal What actually went right ? How much hard we worked? How we Overcome our weaknesses? And most importantly - Who were the people who actually supported you during the journey ? I feel these questions are equally important, Since the feeling of self appreciation and happiness are the best motivators in themselves. Results day can be an emotional rollercoaster for young people, filled with anxiety and uncertainty about what the future holds. Remember, your results do not define your future. There is #NoWrongPath to build a successful career. Take Abbie Bruce, for example. Instead of following the traditional route to university, Abbie chose to join EQ as a trainee. Here's her advice for those receiving their results today: "I had a place at university but decided to join EQ and complete a traineeship instead. Five years later, I'm now a Semi-Senior at our Forfar office, combining practical experience with ongoing exams. Today might feel daunting, but if your results aren't what you hoped for, remember there are always other paths. It might take longer or look different from your original plan, but you'll find your way. What is for you, won’t go by you!" Sheryl Macaulay, Partner and Board Member, also took a non-traditional path. Initially planning to be a Business Studies teacher, she pivoted to accountancy and has built an inspiring career for herself. Sheryl shares her journey: "I left school aiming to become a Business Studies teacher. After a year at university, I realised it wasn't for me. I took a traineeship with Douglas Home and qualified with ACCA at 21. By 29, I became a director and now, following a merger, I'm a partner and member of the Exec Board at EQ. The sky is the limit. "Winners never quit and quitters never win." - Vince Lombardi SSC CGL exam is no laughing matter. It requires diligent effort, hard work, and precision from start to finish. The key to success is not just putting in the necessary hours but enjoying the process. True passion is what drives us when all else fails or demotivates us. When you're in the zone, when you're consistently showing up to prepare every day, and when you're doing the hard work, you're in a position to perform better than anyone else. It's not about the talent, but the persistence and willingness to learn, adapt, and overcome obstacles.
