In a January blog post, I asked retail IT channel executives: "What’s your choice for 2024? Will you double down on business development? Will this be a 'grow' year or a 'no' year?" We predicted that VARs and ISVs would more aggressively explore new verticals and new solutions this year, and that's been the case. Data point: for the upcoming #RetailNOW2024 show, registration for solution providers is ahead of past years. We're on track to attract nearly 500 VAR leaders as well as 300+ ISV executives. In that blog post I also wrote, "I’m very interested to see who will be exhibiting at the RSPA’s #RetailNOW show in Las Vegas July 28-30. Over 110 companies have already reserved a booth. Who will be the others? Who will be aggressive leading up to RetailNOW? Who will cede market share to them?"
