"I am endeavouring to see God through service of humanity; for I know that God is neither in heaven, nor down below, but in everyone." - Mahatma Gandhi On this #GandhiJayanti, October 2, 2024, we honour Gandhi Ji’s legacy of equity with the launch of SASHAKT 2047— a bold roadmap for #DisabilityInclusion as India approaches its centenary in 2047. As India turns 100, we must achieve freedom from the fear of disability and aging. True progress demands a fully accessible India—#SUGAMYA—in both physical and digital infrastructure. Gandhi Ji’s teachings remind us that no society can thrive by leaving anyone behind. With 15% of India’s population living with disabilities, it’s time to shift the narrative from subsidy seekers to contributors, with Divyangjan playing pivotal roles as CXOs, founders, scholars, and innovators. Divyangjan is not just a participant but a pioneer who has reshaped our world—neurodiverse minds have given us aeroplanes, electricity, cars, and smartphones. #SASHAKT2047 calls to empower these change-makers, ensuring they lead India's future success. We must rise and build an inclusive nation where every individual is empowered to thrive. The time to step up is now for an India where no one is left behind. #GandhiJayanti #DisabilityInclusion #SUGAMYAIndia #FreedomFromFear #Empowerment #JusticeForAll #DivyangjanPower #RiseTogether #DisabilityIsStrength #SocialJustice #India2047 #InclusionMatters #AccessibleIndia NITI Aayog Global Disability Inclusion, LLC Global Disability Innovation Hub Global Disability Summit Employers for Change The World Bank United Nations Sarthak Educational Trust Accessible Media Inc. Raksha Bandhan: A Symbol of Protection and Empowerment Raksha Bandhan, a cherished Indian festival, beautifully encapsulates the bond between siblings. The rakhi, a sacred thread tied on the brother's wrist, symbolizes protection and love. However, in today's world, this bond needs to extend beyond the familial to encompass the protection of women as a whole. While the festival celebrates the brother-sister relationship, it's equally important to acknowledge the broader context of women's safety and empowerment. The promise of protection shouldn't be limited to familial bonds; it's a societal responsibility. Let's strive for a world where every woman feels safe and empowered, not just on Raksha Bandhan, but every day. #RakshaBandhan #WomensEmpowerment #Sisterhood #Protection #Equality #SafetyFirst

Meet the #Person behind the #Scenes: A Tale of #Passion and #Purpose Imagine stepping into unknown territory, language unfamiliar, culture unseen in the heart of rural Telangana, there's a story unfolding in the snapshots you see every day on IDEA's page..... This is the story of Chaitanya Sharma, IDEA's youngest employee, an Incubation Officer on his mission to empower persons with #disabilities (PwDs) in #rural #Telangana. Chaitanya, our #Incubation Officer, is driven by an unwavering passion to level the playing field, and ventured into the villages of Sircilla and Mustafabad of Telangana State, a world away from his own. Undeterred by the challenges, he navigated language barriers and cultural nuances, fueled by a single purpose: empowering individuals with disabilities to become entrepreneurs. Chaitanya's journey didn't start at the top; he began his career humbly as a helpdesk assistant at IDEA, tirelessly reaching out to PwDs and mobilizing them for our entrepreneurship development programs. His dedication didn't go unnoticed; he rose through the ranks, now coordinating training programs and making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. He rose further to become an Incubation Officer at IDEA. Chaitanya embodies the spirit of our organization, where every small effort creates a ripple effect of inclusivity. His journey from humble beginnings to impactful leadership is a testament to our collective mission of making India truly inclusive. He has faced personal challenges with incredible resilience, choosing not only to recover but to impact the lives of others. From the remotest corners of Haryana to Telangana, Chaitanya's dedication and passion for the disability community have led him to organize training programs and empower individuals across the country. But what truly sets Chaitanya apart is his humility and resilience. In his recent visit to Telangana, he collaborated with locals, learning from scratch and persisting through adversities, all to ensure that no one is left behind. Chaitanya's journey exemplifies the strength of IDEA. He is a living embodiment of our mission: to make India the inclusive capital of the world. As our Founder and CEO says, he is the youngest, brightest future of IDEA. This is the spirit of IDEA, a team united by a common vision, taking extraordinary journeys to create a lasting impact. Let's celebrate Chaitanya and all the champions like him who are making a difference every day. Their stories may be small, but their impact is immeasurable, shaping a brighter, more inclusive future for all. #InclusivityChampions #Inspiration #Dedication #IDEACommunity #InclusiveIndia

Loving this post on the key pillars of #CSR in #India! Focusing on education, healthcare, environment, community development, gender equality, and arts, culture, and heritage shows a well-rounded approach to sustainable development. These areas often overlap, boosting their overall #impact. It's great to see companies stepping up and making a positive difference across these sectors. But let's not forget about the importance of #impactassessment. We need to ensure these initiatives are not just well-intentioned but also effective and sustainable. Proper evaluation helps measure real-world outcomes and ensures the benefits reach those who need them most. Huge kudos to all the companies driving meaningful change! 🌍📚💊just don't forget to take #impactassessment curiously #CSRIndia #CorporateResponsibility #SustainableDevelopment #ImpactAssessment

𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 - 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬 Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (#FSSAI) has launched a new "Special Category" provision in their online #FoSCoS portal, specifically aimed at empowering #women and #transgender #entrepreneurs in the food business sector. Applications from individuals under the "Special Category" will be fast-tracked and processed at the same pace as regular applications, maintaining a 1:1 ratio until both categories are cleared. This ensures equal access to opportunities and speeds up their journey to success. Identifying eligible individuals is simple, with verification happening through Aadhaar/PAN authentication during the application submission itself. This targeted initiative is backed by compelling data. 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚: 👉 Women currently constitute approximately 33% of India's food industry workforce. 👉 However, they hold only 14% of leadership positions within the sector. 👉 The "Special Category" provision aims to bridge this gap, fostering increased representation and economic empowerment for women and transgender entrepreneurs. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠: 👉 Pre-provision, average processing time for food business licenses ranged from 60-90 days, often leading to delays and missed opportunities. 👉 The 1:1 processing ratio under the "Special Category" is projected to reduce overall processing times by up to 30%, accelerating business growth and expansion. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: 👉 FSSAI anticipates a 15% increase in women-owned food businesses within the first year of implementation. 👉 The provision is also expected to generate 50,000 new jobs within the sector, fostering inclusive economic growth. 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: 👉 The food industry contributes approximately 15% to India's #GDP and employs over 50 million people. 👉 Empowering women and transgender entrepreneurs within this sector is crucial for unlocking untapped economic potential and driving national growth. The primary objective of this provision is to foster gender equality and ensure equal opportunities for women and transgender entrepreneurs operating in the food business sector. The move reflects a commitment to creating a more inclusive and diverse industry. #FSSAI #FoodSafety #GenderEquality #Inclusivity #Diversity #FoodBusiness #Entrepreneurship #India #startupindia #atmanirbharbharat #newpost #linkedin FSSAI Publication #startups #easeofdoingbusiness #foodindustry #foodindustrynews Ravi Bhardwaj

🌼 As India celebrates the beautiful festival of Raksha Bandhan, a day dedicated to the sacred bond between brothers and sisters, it is crucial for us to take a moment to reflect on the profound meaning that this occasion carries. At its core, Raksha Bandhan symbolizes protection, love, and mutual responsibility. In cities like #Kolkata, where we pride ourselves on our cultural richness and heritage, the shadows of injustice loom large. Women continue to face harassment, discrimination, and violence, often silenced by societal stigma and fear. The very essence of Raksha Bandhan, which should be about assurance and love, becomes a distant dream for countless sisters who cannot trust that protection is a reality. As we tie rakhis around the wrists of our sisters, let's remember those who are looking for a brother to stand up for them—figuratively and, in many cases, literally. Raksha Bandhan is a celebration, yes, but we must also embrace the responsibility that comes with it. Are we truly doing our part to ensure the safety and dignity of women around us? It is high time for us to accept that the protectiveness symbolized in this day does not only lie in individual relationships but requires systemic changes that promote equality, respect, and justice for women across all walks of life. In our homes, let us foster attitudes of respect that challenge the notion of patriarchal dominance. Let’s teach our brothers and sons to be true guardians of women’s rights, instilling in them the values of equality from a young age. Let’s educate our daughters about their worth, so they, too, can grow up knowing they deserve respect and safety. Moreover, as we embrace #RakshaBandhan, let us use this moment to raise awareness about the profound issues facing women in our society. The power of social media offers us a platform to discuss these important topics openly. Let’s stand in solidarity with women who are brave enough to share their experiences and perspectives. This requires active listening and genuine empathy—traits that we should carry not just during our celebrations, but throughout our daily lives. On this Raksha Bandhan, as sisters everywhere are tying rakhis, let’s make a collective promise. Let’s pledge to be relentless in our pursuit of a safer world for women. Whether it’s standing up against injustice when we see it, being supportive allies, or investing in education and empowerment initiatives for women, our actions today will shape the future and the reality of Raksha Bandhan for generations to come. May this Raksha Bandhan remind us to be protectors not just in spirit but in action. Let’s champion the cause of women’s rights and work together towards a day when every sister knows she is safe, cherished, and free to live without fear. #RakshaBandhan #WomenEmpowerment #SafetyForWomen #Kolkata #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #Sisterhood #GenderEquality #WomenSafety #ProtectOurSisters #ChangeMakers #India 🇮🇳
