*ANOTHER PAPER ALERT* On behalf of the team Dr. Folakemi Odedina (PhD), Daniel Morton, Tanara Ellis, PharmD, Ernie Kaninjing, Dr., Kathleen Dwyer, Darla Kendzor, Dr. Sabrina Dickey I am excited to share our latest publication in Quality of Life Research: "Health-related quality of life in ethnically diverse Black prostate cancer survivors: a convergent parallel mixed-methods approach," published in the Quality of Life Research Journal by the International Society for Quality of Life Research. We explored the experiences of Black men with prostate cancer in the U.S., including voices from African-born, Caribbean-born, and native-born men. Our findings revealed significant challenges in their social, functional, and emotional well-being, highlighting the urgent need for culturally sensitive support. This was a multi-institutional collaboration that spanned 2-3 years with funding supported by the Department of Defense EIRA Award. Grateful for the participants who shared their stories, helping us work towards better outcomes for Black prostate cancer survivors.
