No one wants to pay for more than they need. Which is why your broadband plan should be flexible. Before you jump into any contracts, remember to: ✔️ Make sure a broadband provider offers flexible plans, tailored to your exact usage ✔️ Check pricing is transparent ✔️ Look up a provider’s trial periods ✔️ Ensure a provider is also upfront about any hidden costs, such as pesky mid-contract price hikes ✔️ Be aware of any switching or exit fees, if you do choose to end your contract early ✔️ See if a provider offers a range of contract lengths. T-Mobile is hands-down the most accessible home internet provider I've ever dealt with regarding billing and the "fine print" most carriers tack on. Thinking about switching broadband providers? Don't get caught by surprise hidden fees! We've all been there - you find a fantastic looking broadband deal, only to discover a hefty bill with a bunch of surprise charges. Let's break down some of the sneaky hidden costs some providers love to throw in (spoiler alert...we don't have any of them): 👉Installation Fee: This one might seem obvious, but some providers charge extra for getting you set up. 👉Activation Fee: Similar to the installation fee, but for... magically activating your connection? 👉Data Usage Fees: Think you have unlimited data? I would like to get some clarification from the people who might know more about this. What is going on with mobile, broadbands and TV services providers (at least in Ireland). “In April each year, the monthly price of your PricePlan(excluding any discounts) will increase by the annual ConsumerPriceIndex published in January of that year plus an additional 3% to reflect ongoing investments we make in our fixed network, products and services.” My monthly mobile bill is this month 25% higher than the contract I signed. As customer support is traditionally bad I am not bothered to spend 15 hours on the phone to clarify this. I will end the contract and move to prepay which has the same specs as 3x more expensive contract. I am aware that financing of an expensive phone is calculated into the monthly price but that does not justify robbery hidden under small print.
