Excited doesn't even begin to cover how we feel about participating in #AmplifyAustinDay, the biggest giving event in Central Texas organized by I Live Here I Give Here. It's our chance to support the incredible nonprofits that make this area a wonderful place to live and work. We've set a goal to raise $2500 for local causes by March 7 at 6 PM. And to add to the spirit of giving, Grocery TV will double the impact and match contributing up to an additional $2500. Here’s how YOU can make a difference: 1️⃣ Find your cause: Head to the below link and use keywords or cause categories to discover nonprofits that champion causes close to your heart. 2️⃣ Make it count: When making your donation, select 'Grocery TV' at checkout. #AmplifyAustin #GTVGives

Founder Meitheal Services & LRNRX | I empower and engage health professionals through education, technology and communication | Host Your Pharmacy Career Podcast | Follow my entrepreneurial journey
From 5pm tonight I will be out on the streets for the #CEOSleepout Why do I care so much about this cause? 1. Every night, roughly 1 in 200 Australians find themselves without a safe, secure or affordable place to sleep. 2. One third of people experience homelessness in Australia are under 18 years old. 3. 1 in 2 people experiencing homelessness are women. 4. Only 6% of people experiencing homelessness are sleeping 'rough' 5. Majority of people experiencing homelessness are the 'hidden homeless'; couch surfing, sleeping in cars, living in overcrowded dwellings, caravans, motels.... 6. Many people who experience homelessness do in fact 'have a job' and are escaping domestic violence, lack of rental afforability and cost of living. 7. The experience of homelessness can have significant effects on an individual's self confidence, mental health, emotional wellbeing and relationships. 8. Homelessness does not discriminate: Homelessness in Australia is caused by domestic and family violence, sudden life triggers such as job loss, illness or the loss of a loved one, or the lack of affordable and social housing.
Tonight is the night!!!! Our Founder and Managing Director Krysti-Lee Patterson with be sleeping on the streets for the Vinnies #CEOSleepout alongside Christine Kelly from The Pharmacy Guild of Australia 💤 Watch her personal message on why she is so passionate about the cause and her reasons for participating in this event! 💕 There is still time to donate visit the link in the comments 👇 https://lnkd.in/gUD3G8FU

Taking time to focus on what really matters…. We have so much swirling around us at any given moment. Pulled in a million directions, sounds from a hundred voices, ghosts haunting us from the shoulda/coulda/woulda’s…. Having a strong foundation that holds us up when life gets so foggy and disorienting is essential. If we don’t have that, we crumble. If you really think about it, what is your foundation (do you even have one)? Maybe now is the time to do that internal work so that you start 2024 on the right foot. ♥️ #foundation #quietthenoise #internalwork #priorities #myfoundationistheLord

Claritee has been on an incredible 18 month journey. Like any new venture, we have had our ups and downs and it hasn’t been easy, but with the determination of our dedicated team we are beginning to raise awareness and achieve small successes. With the drive of Claritee founding director, Alex Clapp, we have featured in numerous podcasts such as #TheRise with Liz Folan, #OverTheInfluence with Ben Anderson, #BigDrinkRethink, #BuildingBlissToday, #AlcoholFreeLife as well as news articles in The Telegraph, #TheStandard, #TheDailyMirror, CHESTER.COM, VisitLiverpool Travel Trade, #NantwichNews, #PlanetLiverpool and TIE MAGAZINE CORP. With this sort of PR we are receiving is unbelievable and very impactful, in which we are very grateful for! We are currently in the process of organising the UK's first corporate alcohol-free awards with Steps Together in The Titanic Hotel this September, raising money for Nacoa UK. In November, we will be partnering with Alice Hendy MBE and Ripp;e to raise awareness about suicide prevention while hosting a corporate alcohol-free event in Portsmouth, helping shape the workplace for the future. This year Claritee branched off to Club Calritee, a less corporate more informal events for those in the sobriety world, we have hosted these events in Liverpool, Chester and Manchester. We will soon be launching in London, at the iconic W Hotel Marriott International, in Leicester Square this September and October. We try and change perceptions of what an alcohol-free night entails having top dj’s, comedians , salsa dancers , live bands , live singers and lots of games with prizes. On another note, we are launching Claritee active, with the addition of Ninja Academy UK, an early years children's development program, with clubs starting over the Wirral . We understand the importance of being active, having a community and having a passion, as what you do thrives happiness and wellness. We have also launched Claritee health with more information becoming available soon. We are so excited with what the future holds and looking forward to all the challenges ahead. #corporateevents #community #mentalhealthawareness #childdevelopment #leadership #teamwork #success #businessgrowth #alcoholfree #formalevents

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆? As business leaders, we know that creating impact isn’t just about profit margins—it’s also about contributing to the communities that support us. Recently, I had the privilege of helping to launch a new community initiative, 𝗕𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗸, and it reminded me of the importance of starting something new, even when the path isn’t clear. Recently, we hosted our first event: a family bike ride across a beautiful causeway in town, which we called 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗱𝗲. The event wasn’t born out of one person’s vision; it was the product of a shared mission: to promote biking and walking in our community. The idea came together because we worked as a team. Here’s how it unfolded: - 𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. We wanted to increase awareness around safe biking and walking in our town. - 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽. Starting with a meeting at town hall, we engaged key stakeholders in the community. - 𝗪𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀. We secured a microgrant from the Department of Transportation for helmets, locks, lights, and safety gear. - 𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀. During a meeting, someone suggested an event to promote National Walk and Roll to School Day. The Police Chief offered to close the causeway for a community ride. And just like that, 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗱𝗲 was born. In the span of a month, with a volunteer team and zero budget, we turned that idea into reality. We had about 50 participants join us for the inaugural ride, and we’re already planning more events to keep the momentum going. Here’s the key takeaway: 𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗳 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽. If we hadn’t set up that initial meeting, we wouldn’t have connected with the right people. If we hadn’t applied for the grant, we wouldn’t have had the resources. Each decision led to new opportunities we hadn’t anticipated, and the results exceeded anything we imagined a month ago. This experience was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when you give back and pursue an idea with passion, collaboration, and action. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱. 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸. You might be surprised by what you can accomplish.

Have you seen what Cosy Direct are doing now?! It was in a conversation with 📣 Jonathan Leach that I first cruised past the tip of an ice burg that he pointed out as the Derbyshire based company Cosy Direct. On the surface Jonathan pointed out a couple of key features that make this company so recognisable such as: 🎉 Their passion for championing childhood through quality educational tools and resources. 🌎 Their careful consideration for the planet as they produce these resources through sustainable processes and procedures. 🏘️ Their care for the community which feeds an insatiable hunger to help others through various charitable and community projects. ‘Wow, sounds great!’ I thought to myself as Jonathan continued to talk me through a tour of the wonderful work he is doing with some truly marvellous members of his extensive network.... 🤿...at that moment, (or perhaps a day or two later) up from below the surface of my DMs popped Peter Ellse to say ‘That’s not all! There’s a huge amount holding the tip of that iceberg up and we're going places! Pack your pens and come see for yourself... ' (or words to that effect, I'm a visual thinker, what can I say?) I jumped straight in, fully immersed in the Cosy community. Taking a tour, meeting Peter, Laila, Amanda, Nikki and the team and drawing alongside all of the phenomenal projects, people and products they are pioneering down at Cosy HQ! They shared their vision and values and all of the wonderful ways they are building business better. It really is phenomenal. Don’t believe me, take a look for yourself… I loved creating this graphic recording as it puts all of that passion on one page. Inviting you to take your time, take it in and take them up on their invitation to see the future differently. It’s a canvas for creative thinking and you can’t help but wonder where collaborative systems (Co-sy) like this could take us if we get on board with giving back. Looking to bring your audience onto the same page with your company’s vision and values? Pull up a seat and let’s think big picture… #graphicrecording #visualthinking #visionandvalues #collaboration

Such a fun event organised by RareFounders - The London Startup Scene with their open mic pitch event. Imagine this: you've got just 60 seconds to wow the audience with your pitch, or face a playful spray from water guns! 💦 Happy to practice pitching for be/impact where we enable employees to teach what they learned in corporate training to charities. I was incredibly nervous about taking the stage. Stage fright is real. But here's a fun trick I learned: focus on wiggling your toes. Sounds quiet weird, right? But it really helps keep your mind grounded and calm. 🦶 The event was also a fantastic opportunity to mingle with fellow founders, sharing stories, struggles, and successes. The sense of community in these gatherings always astonishes me 🤝 It’s also always fun to meet other incredible founders to share your struggles with 🫶 Max Folaron William Smith Lorenzo Viglietti Tom Burnell Jay Raj Valeri Gervaziev Eva Sands Daniel Robinson Yuru Guo 👩🍳 #beimpact #socialimpact #corporatetraining #teachingisthebestwaytolearn
