This makes the effort towards Digitisation and Innovation in the sector all the more crucial as Malaysia becomes an ageing society. These will help make better use of the existing resources, especially our current talent pool and reduce the shortage and requirements for more. Ultimately improving the patient outcome and healthcare equity nationally. #EducationInnovation #HealthcareLeadership #GlobalCollaboration https://lnkd.in/gCNQR6Ft

In a milestone for one of Africa’s biggest healthcare developments, Roha Medical Campus (RMC) announces it has received fresh investment from shareholders for a major new advanced multispecialty hospital in Addis Ababa, bringing total initial capital to US$42 million. The equity funding represents the first tranche of a US$130 million investment to build phase 1 of Roha Medical Campus, a 350-bed world-class hospital. Additional shareholder funding as well as US$70 million in debt led by a development finance institution are earmarked for the first half of 2024. Already midway through construction, the first hospital is due to open in 2025, with a further US$200 million investment planned to expand the campus to include additional specialized hospitals and medical facilities, as well as a teaching, research, and innovation hub. Located less than a kilometer from East Africa’s busiest international airport, the hospital puts Addis Ababa on the map for the continent’s US$5 billion-a-year medical tourism industry while stemming Ethiopia’s US$500 million annual healthcare outflow. Currently, the standard connector for Africans flying to South Asia or the Middle East for medical care, Ethiopian Airlines’ Addis Ababa Bole International Airport will soon become the gateway to one of the most significant health treatment hubs on the continent.

Implementing diagnosis-related groups in different countries increases the efficiency of healthcare services, improves treatment quality, and reduces treatment costs. Given the stated benefits, countries are globally looking to design a specific plan to implement DRGs. To achieve this goal, each country must create a clear strategic plan called the Action Plan according to its specific needs and existing information systems and taking into account factors such as population dispersion and access to information. A detailed plan outlines the steps needed to achieve one or more goals. It can be seen as a sequence of steps or activities that must be done well for a strategic plan to succeed. Accordingly, due to the need to implement DRGs and the lack of action plan in Iran, the present study aims to provide a model for DRGs implementation action plan. https://lnkd.in/e4Fse-89.

When Nigeria came Home to India A Two-Day MDP for a high profile Nigerian Medical Team When my Chief Strategy Officer Dr Janakiram (Ram) introduced me to Dr. Chukwuka Monye, Founder Ciuci Consulting, he added – “Dr. Monye would one day be President of Nigeria”. I was lucky to have two hour-long meetings with Dr. Monye. Though the formal interest of CIUCI group was Healthcare Management, given my psephology interests, our conversations veered to Nigerian Politics. Nigeria today is where India was at the turn of this century - solid demographic dividend, emerging educated populace, thirst for growth, need for limelight and strong resources. What they now need is a strong leader. Tall, smiling, Harvard-Warwick educated man with a natural aura – Dr. Monye has everything going for him. It was a pleasure listening to him weave an alternate power map connecting India and Nigeria – the emerging epicenters of Asia and Africa. Coming to the MDP, it was a pleasure to host this high-profile team for a 2-day immersive program. Dr Aloke Mullick, who has been CEO of prestigious hospitals – India and abroad, led the deliberations. I supported him on strategic model building. About my MDP, my clients will talk. Here goes the client testimonials. onome deBBie akwara: “I’m CEO at Edo Specialist Hospital, a 200-bed public hospital in Nigeria. I attended the MIT-WPU Ramcharan School of Leadership's Healthcare MDP program with my CMD and CFO. In 2 days, we gained clarity about our unique positioning as a hospital and reviewed practical strategies to achieve our 2024 strategic goals. The faculty were highly experienced and provided theoretical context and practical applications. Conversations were rich, unconventional and just what we needed to achieve our overall goal of being the leading patient centered public hospital in Nigeria. Finally, it was not just knowledge but also vegetarian cuisine at its finest – in short, an extraordinary bespoke learning experience”. Dr Dave Odiko: “I am CMD of Edo Specialist. The Healthcare & Hospital Administration MDP at Ramcharan is a great investment for any hospital administrator. The course content is rich and the faculty ensure a wonderful experience. Thank you Dr Easwar Krishna Iyer and Dr Aloke Mullick for a pleasant learning experience”. MADEWALE AYODEJI: I'm CFO at CIUCI Consulting, a firm with strong interest in healthcare. I attended the Healthcare MDP at Ramcharan, MIT WPU and I must say it was an incredibly enriching experience. The course provided me with practical and applicable knowledge that has already started positively impacting my leadership approach in healthcare industry. The instructors, Dr Easwar Krishna Iyer and Dr Aloke Mullick were knowledgeable, engaging and supportive, and the course content was comprehensive and up-to-date. I highly recommend this course for leaders in healthcare. MIT World Peace University #nigeria #africanbusiness #mdp #healthcareeducation #healthcareadministration
