Baird Gives Back

Baird Gives Back

Baird associates and their family members donated more than 5,974 volunteer hours to help more than 130 non-profit organizations as part of the firm's annual "Baird Gives Back Week," held from May 15-20. The firmwide event, which was launched eight years ago, included more than 1,508 volunteers from over 75 Baird offices in cities such as Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Seattle, Shanghai, Milwaukee, London, Atlanta, Baltimore and many more. Associates across the global financial services firm helped with projects such as preparing and serving food, tutoring and mentoring students, working with seniors, building homes, cleaning up parks, performing indoor/outdoor maintenance, and assisting with event coordination.

This year, my team and I spent the afternoon with the wonderful folks of the Crittenton Centers. We washed windows, cleaned playground equipment, outside facilities, and helped with lawn maintenance.  Crittenton Centers is a local not-for-profit child welfare organization that is doing some amazing things for our community. Their three core services include the Crisis Nursery which provides for emergency and respite care for infants and children, the Child Development Center, and Educational Support Services.

All services that the Crisis Nursery provides, as well as the educational support are free to parents residing in Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties.  Volunteers and donors are crucial to organizations like the Crittenton Centers. I am so fortunate to work for a company like Baird, that gives employees paid time off to make a difference in my community.
