Early Childhood Education with a play based curriculum; a lift out of child labour

Early childhood education (ECE) is the first stage in a process that seeks to improve prospects for children in poor communities. By providing ECE, BRAC supports mothers in improving health and well-being of their children and better prepare children for further education. Children who complete ECE are more likely to graduate from primary education and complete secondary education. Through ECE, BRAC improves children’s general social development and increase awareness amongst parents about the benefits of ECE and how play activities can be used at home. We know that the greater awareness of child rights and the importance of caring, positive development for young children will improve treatment of children in the long run and protect them from abuse and exploitation. A child in early childhood education, is a child out of child labour. Adolescents who have managed to graduate from secondary education have better chances in life and are able to make informed decisions to lift themselves out of poverty. They know what their rights and responsibilities are and will be better positioned to give their children a better future. BRAC aims to break the cycle of poverty whereby it has been proven that a play based curriculum already at ECE level, contributes to this.

I agree partially of your post someway about poverty reduction with EEC materials in early childhood education and for helping adolescents in many ways, but it could be better if we introduce some financial assistance with livelihood activities for them.
