Hires in < 1 month, say hello to RFS' Sourcing Lead, and this week's priority roles

Greetings from Recruiting from Scratch, and welcome to this week’s edition of the RFS Report!

How RFS made a top marketing hire in < 1 month

We recently placed a marketing hire with a leading technology company. Within less than a month of connecting our ultimate hire with the hiring team, the interview process was completed and offer accepted!

Here’s two ways we think made this process work, which we’d recommend to any hiring team:


1️⃣ We partnered with our client to prepare a personalized interview scorecard.

For every role, our team creates an interview scorecard so we can assess each candidate on the same criteria.

To eliminate multiple rounds of reviews, we partnered closely with our client to understand their unique marketing needs so we could ask the right questions on our initial call with a candidate.

This allowed us to create a scorecard that addressed metrics candidates have hit, how they measure results, and their experience with specific channels.


2️⃣ We worked closely with the client on the take-home test portion.

Take home projects have received a lot of attention in the last year. But we find our candidates like them because they can demonstrate their strengths.

We worked closely with candidates and our client on timing and details so candidates felt comfortable and prepared to present their best work.


✅ The end result: We made a hybrid hire in our client’s city, securing top talent to grow their marketing.

Hybrid or in person-roles are becoming more popular again but can still be difficult to hire for.

However, we were able to make a hybrid marketing hire for our client in less than a month after introducing the candidate to their team.
