ZALORA Big Fashion Sale

Our iconic annual flagship campaign, ZALORA Big Fashion Sale (ZBFS) celebrated all things fashion, beauty, and lifestyle in June, treating shoppers to amazing deals from top brands around the world!

This year's campaign was truly special, embodying our core values of home and connections in a unique and engaging way. While the campaign featured amazing gamification elements that our customers have come to love, what truly set it apart was the series of engaging videos featuring our own Zalorians!

These videos added a personal touch to the campaign, showcasing the genuine excitement of our staff as they shopped and secured their most-wanted items at discounted prices. Customers could see the real people behind the campaign, sharing in our joy and anticipation of finding great deals, making it one of our most memorable campaigns to date.

‘Try ZALORA’ Brand Campaign

Back in May, we launched our exciting brand campaign, "Try ZALORA"!

More than a marketing effort, it aims to inspire and connect with fashion enthusiasts across Southeast Asia, and defines ZALORA's core identity: trends, experience and exclusivity. At the heart of this campaign are three content-driven videos that promote the our key propositions:

Starring Amelia Henderson, a celebrated Malaysian TV host, actor and podcaster; Ismail Izzani, a renowned Malaysian songwriter, singer and actor; and Shanti Pereira, an acclaimed Singaporean Track & Field athlete. Each star brings their unique style and charisma to the forefront, adding their voice to ours in sharing how our wide range of products seamlessly fit into diverse lifestyles.

Try ZALORA is now more than a slogan, it's an invitation for our customers to explore, experiment, and express themselves through our curated collections. Special shoutout to our marketing team in bringing this vision to life. Together, we're inspiring confidence and celebrating individuality!


ZALORA Continues to Win Awards

ZALORA has always been about approaching the world with a can-do attitude and #LimitlessMindset! This can be found in all our teams, across all our markets! While we consistently celebrate the achievements of our teams internally, it's always exciting when our efforts receive external recognition.

Retail Asia Awards 2024

Our iconic ZALORAYA 2024 campaign has been named the Marketing Initiative of the Year - Malaysia, at the prestigious Retail Asia Awards 2024. Being chosen from amongst  the region's best retailers' most outstanding retail initiatives is a testament to the incredible work done by our marketing team.

From the exciting ZALORAYA 2024 fashion shows to the nostalgic brand film that touched our hearts, the campaign truly deserves the title of Marketing Initiative of the Year and we could not be more proud of our Marketing team!

APAC's Biggest Brand Movers

ZALORA has also been recognised to be one of APAC's Biggest Brand Movers by YouGov, an online research data platform that gathers insights from a global consumer base of over 27 million members. 

ZALORA ranked high in the Singapore market for the media and communication, brand perception and purchase funnel categories, clinching a top spot alongside household brand names, including Meta’s Facebook and Google’s YouTube.

We are immensely proud of our team for their dedication to all that we do, and are motivated to continue setting new standards. Together, we will continue to achieve great things!

ZALORA x Singapore Red Cross Charity Bazaar

ZALORA was proud to partner with the Singapore Red Cross for a special two-day charity bazaar from 3 to 4 July 2024!

The event celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Singapore Red Cross while showcasing ZALORA’s commitment to sustainability and support for meaningful community causes, with all bazaar proceeds going directly to the Singapore Red Cross' local humanitarian services for vulnerable persons and families.

The products available at the bazaar were brand new but had quirks that do not meet ZALORA’s stringent quality standards. Rather than contributing to fashion waste, ZALORA chose to donate these one-of-a-kind pieces to the charity bazaar. This allows sustainability-conscious shoppers to find amazing fashion treasures while charitable causes.

Regional Volunteering Updates

At ZALORA, we aim to be a #ForceForGood in the communities we call home. Over the first half of the year, we have made significant strides in our volunteering initiatives, and we couldn't be prouder of our Zalorians!

In May to June, our Malaysia-based Zalorians revisited The Assembly Soup Kitchen (T.A.S.K.) n (T.A.S.K), an independent all-volunteer organisation that serves hot & nutritious meals to the homeless and vulnerable, predominantly in the Klang Valley, Malaysia.

As our second time volunteering at the soup kitchen, our experienced Zalorians were excited to serve. To prepare the meals, our Zalorians had to first prepare the raw ingredients. This meant peeling potatoes, cutting red chilis, and cracking eggs.

After combining and cooking these ingredients, the final dish was packaged. With the efforts of the first batch of volunteers in early May, over 250 meals had been prepared and sent to the homeless community in Kuala Lumpur city.

ZALORA’s AI-Powered Customer Service Chatbot

Our tech team is proud to have launched our newest AI-powered customer service chatbot, designed to provide seamless and personalised support to customers across Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Taiwan!

Leveraging AI that is programmed to learn and understand the intent behind customer inquiries, to provide relevant, accurate responses in a highly intuitive and visual format. The biggest difference between ZALORA’s new chatbot and standard industry counterparts is its deep integration with our consumer core services. This means, once customers sign into their ZALORA shopping profiles, the chatbot can directly access and offer personalised information linked to their accounts, this includes information about the status of their orders, deliveries, and returns.

In addition to delivering a seamless customer experience, the chatbot is envisioned to support and augment the capabilities of our human customer service representatives, so that they can focus on providing excellent personalised service to ZVIP customers and handling nuanced challenges that require human touch and understanding.

ZALORA’s New Auto-Packing Machine

In our quest to continuously innovate and improve our efficiency, our Malaysian Fulfillment Center operations team has obtained a shiny new toy - an incredible auto-packing machine!

This advanced machine automatically packs items into flyers and affixes airway bills (AWB) at a speed of over 700 parcels per hour, significantly boosting our efficiency and accuracy. It also helps reduce costs and improve sustainability by dynamically sizing packs to fit each product, thus minimizing material usage and supporting our sustainability goals by reducing our environmental footprint!
