Invigorating Coffee-Producing Communities in Yemen: The First project 

Social and economic challenges – this is what the Lavazza Foundation aims to address working side by side with Qima Foundation and GIZ in Yemen. "Mokha Revival" project started up in 2023 and will last until 2025 in the Yemeni provinces of Taiz and Yafa'a, aiming to relaunch and revolutionize the coffee sector, from farm-level improvements to the promotion and valorization of the final product, by collecting data about coffee cultivations and training local people.   

One of the project’s most significant achievements is the signing with the Minister of Agriculture of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to promote development and research in the coffee industry through training programmes, including 65 women in the project and dedicating over 1,000 hours to youth training.

The protagonist of the campaign is a fiddly Jannik, in search of the perfect take. It is an ironic way to tell the story of the maniacal care that we at Lavazza also put into our products, so that people can enjoy real Italian espresso at home just as at coffee shops.
