LG Stylo 6 is a solid entry-level smartphone with a stylus

While the US still awaits its shot at a possible launch of the premium midrange LG Velvet, a new entry-level offering has gone official. The latest update to the Stylo lineup may not be as, well, stylish as the Velvet, but it brings some decent specs and a stylus to the sub-$200 price bracket.

The Stylo 6 comes with a large 6.8" FHD+ display with a small teardrop notch housing a 13MP selfie camera. On the rear is a 13MP main sensor, 5MP ultrawide, and 5MP depth sensor, although without the new Raindrop design found on the Velvet. The phone is equipped with front and bottom stereo speakers, and some may be happy to see a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Internal specs aren't half bad. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor with 64GB of expandable storage and 3GB of RAM. When considering the addition of a built-in stylus and a large 4000mAh battery, the price seems quite reasonable at $219, although early birds can grab the smartphone on Boost Mobile for a discounted price of $179.
