Coffee to Thrive: Cultivating Sustainable Futures at Lake Kivu

In the verdant heart of Lake Kivu, a transformative journey is underway. Through the visionary "Coffee to Thrive" project, the Lavazza Foundation is committed to revitalizing the local community. The essence of this initiative is more than just agriculture; it's about sowing the seeds of socio-economic reintegration for 300 beneficiaries, empowering women who are victims of violence through coffee production, cultivation and commerce.

The project is inspired by the legacy of Dr. Mukwege, whose recognition with the Sakharov Prize in 2014 and the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018, reflects the profound impact one can have on the world, just like a single bean can be a vessel of growth and hope for a better future.

Museums for all with the "IncluVisity" project

On May 17th, on the occasion of International Museum Day 2024, at the Triennale of Milan, we presented "IncluVisity", the project that focuses on people and experiences in museum itineraries. The aim is to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for the widest and most diverse audiences.

We have collaborated with several of our partner museums, such as Muse - Trento, Camera - Turin, Peggy Guggenheim Collection - Venice, Triennale - Milan, and Museo Egizio - Turin, besides of course our own Lavazza Museum.

Each partner has developed inclusive itineraries dedicated to people of different cultures, abilities and skills. Because art belongs to everyone, and it is important that everyone can enjoy it and feel welcome.

The Italian Coffee Experience at the French Open

Our enduring alliance with the world of great tennis continues as we celebrate a significant milestone at this year's Roland-Garros tournament. It's been a remarkable 10-year journey for our global brand Lavazza , on the storied red clay courts of one of the sport's most esteemed Grand Slams. Since the beginning, we've had the honor of serving more than 3 million cups of our finest coffee to spectators and coffee lovers.

The tournament takes place in a country such as France that represents a strategic market for our Group. But first of all, it is much more than just a sporting event, it serves a symbol of the values and the passion we hold dear. A discipline that, like a perfect espresso, requires skill and passion to excel at.

The road to D&I: breaking barriers and comfort zones

«D&I requires the ability to step out of our comfort zone. To try to take a fresh look at what has always seemed obvious and "normal", but that is considered normal only for statistical and cultural reasons, not for ethical reasons. We must continue together on this ambitious and necessary path, each and every one of us, by doing our part» stated our D&I Director, Lucia Pellino .
