MY THOUGHTS ON DASUKI's ARREST & THE DEMOCRACY IN NIGERIA

This myth called Democracy is as funny as it gets. A very beautiful type of government if properly implemented. I love it!

However, if we look at it closer, it isn't a style of government suitable for most countries in Africa and Asia because of development level. I always say Democracy is not suitable for African Nations at least not now. Might be an unpopular opinion but it's very valid. Let me take you on a stroll trough Abraham Maslow's Theory on Hierarchy of Human Needs. See attached picture.

The first cadre from the bottom shows Physiological Needs which exclusively includes FOOD, BREATHING, SEX, SLEEP, EXCRETION. If you look at the 5 elements that make up the Physiological Needs, you'll find out they all point to SURVIVAL; Staying Alive!

Majority of African Countries are yet to conquer the 1st Cadre on Maslow's Hierarchy of Human Needs and then you hand them Democracy? Nah! Africa where people struggle to provide basic elements of survival, you now hand them the freedom of choice (Democracy) ... Epic Fail

Let us look at the 2nd Cadre; SAFETY which consists of SECURITY, HEALTH, EMPLOYMENT, PROPERTY. Where's Africa in conquering these cadre? No good decision can be made by a man who is hungry, homeless, jobless, unhealthy, poor ETC. Democracy isn't for such people!

The US and plenty other European countries have conquered the cadre in which Africa is still merry-go-rounding in long time ago! Those are countries that have a populace that have reached the Cadre of Self-Actualization. They can reason & handle Democracy properly! Democracy in Nigeria is a huge setup... With a huge % of it's population below the poverty line, Democracy is nothing but a myth!

The laws that govern this country are only meant to keep the poor away from misbehaving. Has no effect on the rich and political elites! So, for now, our Democracy will only favour a few people against the majority. Only time the majority will matter is during Elections! After elections, everybody goes back to "As you were". No victory for the people, it's victory for the rich and powerful (politicians)

That is why in this Dasuki's case, we all know that following the law means; Loophole for the Goat to escape Prosecution! We can't keep doing things the same way and expect different results. Nah, something has got to change! I can't even question the President's Powers to Order Arrests... Legal or not, I'm not interested! That's not why I'm here!

You talk about building Strong Institutions. Pending the time we build those institutions, the President should fold arms and watch? You want Buhari to build Strong Institutions on a faulty foundation. "Is that how you use to do?" Lol... You people are funny sha!

Yes! I want a Police Force that will arrest indicted suspects without order from Presidency but pending that time nko? We should sleep? See ehn, on Dasuki's case ehn.. I'm aware that you know the Law and you also know Book well well but you know what? JUST LEAVE IT!!!
