Navajo Nation government will install green energy generators and heaters for its tribal members.

It is refreshing to know that some of our Navajo leaders have embraced green/clean energy for our children and grandchildren’s future. Big Navajo Energy, with its green energy partners, have come together this week to install a solar heater and solar/wind generators to the legislative branch offices of the Navajo Nation. In the coming weeks we will begin installing solar heaters and off grid generators to the most rural parts of the reservation to tribal members that have never had access to the basic needs of electricity and heat. This will be a relief in the coming winter.

The Navajo Nation is the size of West Virginia with over 300,000 tribal members. Over 18,000 tribal members do not have access to basic electricity. The costs associated with getting these families the power that they need is daunting. However, the leadership shown by the Speaker of the House of the Navajo Nation Lorenzo Bates has taken real action rather than just talk.

Big Navajo Energy, is grateful for this partnership to assist in the green energy initiative for the Navajo tribal members. The company has already completed several government green projects on the reservation. And plans on continuing it's effort to work with the Navajo Nation, other tribal governments, and the USDA etc.
