TechFinitive's 2023 Wrapped

TechFinitive's 2023 Wrapped

It's been just over ten months since we launched TechFinitive.com. As the founder, I'm reflecting on the fantastic achievements and growth we've experienced in a challenging year for the B2B technology sector.

Firstly, I'd like to acknowledge our brilliant Editor, Tim Danton, for his dedication and editorial vision in shaping TechFinitive’s voice and identity.  Our focus on the entire technology decision-making unit, including business and IT roles, ensures our content resonates with a broader audience. It aims to be inspirational, insightful, informative, and entertaining; giving readers a unique and authoritative perspective on how the latest innovations and trends can affect their business.

A nod also goes out to our Senior Digital Director, Ricardo Oliveira . Rick is critical in translating our editorial and product vision into a digital reality, ensuring a memorable brand experience for our diverse audience.

I'm proud of the high-calibre writers we've collaborated with – subject matter experts, respected journalists and IT practitioners who have written for some of the largest technology publishers in the world.

We published hundreds of articles this year, each contributing to our mission of injecting freshness and excitement into the IT and business space.  That mission often led us to explore the intersection of business and AI, with recent examples being our guide to using Midjourney to create business images or having a genuine NHS Doctor put ChatGPT to the test.

Along the way, we wrote more than 100 explainers that help audiences make sense of technologies as varied as HPE Greenlake, Intel vPro or the emerging field of AI Ops

We wrote product guides for software solutions, reviewed what the latest hardware releases meant for businesses (including comparing all Chromebook Plus laptops) and kept an eye on how it all played out sustainability-wise.

And we had some fun. Like when Claire Reilly shared the 5 pieces of tech she wishes she had at Burning Man. Or, every fortnight, whenever Richard Trenholm Knightwell ’s latest FlashForward edition drops.

In our journey, we consciously prioritised human-generated content (which feels strange to write!) by subject matter experts. This commitment has led to significant growth and SEO credibility, with thousands of B2B technology professionals regularly reading our content.

Further data analysis through our ABM platform identified thousands of companies engaging with our content in November, boasting a combined revenue exceeding $32 billion - lots of potential to reach and influence this audience if you are a technology marketer!

This brings me to Claire Fairbrother and Robbie Foston 's superb work in our sales team, onboarding our first TechFinitive advertisers and clients - software companies, IT  consultancies and some of the world’s largest technology companies. A huge ‘thanks’ goes out to our inaugural advertisers excited by our fresh take on b2b technology journalism, focus on engaged business and IT readers, custom content experience and cutting-edge demand generation solutions.

In our customer success function, Jason Langford has been ‘leading from the front’ in prioritising campaign delivery, seamless project management, custom digital dashboards, and - ultimately - customer satisfaction. Jason always goes the extra mile to exceed expectations and provide timely campaign reporting, analytics and optimisations, resulting in fantastic client testimonials.

In summary, I thank everyone involved in the TechFinitive journey in 2023 – our amazing team, contributors, clients, and growing audience. Here's to more years of innovation, growth, and excitement in the B2B technology market!
