VisitColumbusNE.com launches new site

Events! Things to do! Places to Stay! Sites to explore! Shopping galore! And so much more!! The Columbus Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) recently launched a rebranded and totally redesigned website geared toward helping residents and visitors get in the know with what is happening in not only Columbus but the rest of Platte County as well.

“The redesigned website has a greater appeal,” says CVB Director Theresa Grape. It lists places to eat and drink, play, shop, events taking place and so much more! “We are ecstatic about the new events calendar! It has undergone a major facelift with events populating from google, select Facebook pages and Eventbrite,” stated Grape. The public can also input their events with a simple entry form found on the events page.

Businesses has also seen a major upgrade. Residents and visitors can select a business from any of the categories and it will share a description, google reviews and so much more. If a business does not have a google listing, they can submit directly from the website. The CVB staff will approve and publish events and places as they are submitted.

“The redesign was essential,” Grape said. “Columbus and Platte County are growing by leaps and bounds. Our previous site was not capturing the phenomenal adventures our communities are blazing.” The area will continue to grow and thrive. The new site has all the tools to keep our community and visitors in the know. The CVB has also introduced a blog, Travel Snippets, with weekly short stories about venues, events and so much more.

The CVB invites you take a tour of the new site at VisitColumbusNE.com and come back often as it continues to evolve! Submit events or your business free of charge in minutes and provide us feedback on your experience.

The website is funded through the Visitors Promotion Fund, as well as the Visitors Improvement Fund administered by the Columbus Area Visitors Bureau Director and Advisory Committee.
