Zim-Senior Citizens Services Hub......'local and diaspora information centre'

'Senior citizens have special needs to cope with life and those who care for them need the right information in order to give best care at least cost. Its also a big challenge for those in the diaspora who have parents/grand parents back home, where can we get the right services? This hub will have most of the information and experts will right articles and publish on this platform. Mind you at some point everyone will be in the senior citizens category'

  1. Our relatives on the ground do great work with minimal training and bringing in specialist services to assist them greatly improve senior citizens care.
  2. Sending money only is not enough, there is need to facilitate the provision of specialist care as the senior citizens get older.
  3. A lot of information is lost in the care process and this affects the information which doctors get when the senior citizens visit health institutions.
  4. Senior citizens don't like the idea of visiting doctors, why not use home visits services and they are visited in the comfort of their homes!
  5. Senior citizens always 'claim to be OK when they are not, by the time they actually acknowledge that they are NOT ok it will be very late'.
  6. There are many organisations operating in this segment, so this platform will help them advertise their services and be more profitable.
  7. Prevention is better than cure, getting daily updates of the status of senior citizens under your care ,even when in diaspora, gives you peace of mind and helps intervene at the right time.
  8. There are senior citizens who don't have anyone to look after them and systems should be put in place, like this hub, to connect the needy to organisations /individuals who can assist.
  9. Our hub will connect donations to the needy, putting up a system is the first step towards this goal.
