The European Women in VC study found that each 10 percentage point increase in representation of women is associated with a 1.3 percentage points increase in IRR. 👉 Yet, female founders receive less than 2% of VC funding. 👉 Only 16% of GPs are women, and just 9% of them manage significant capital. Meanwhile, Europe is trying to compete on a global stage - but we’re falling behind. The Mario Draghi Report reveals a €270 billion gap spend for R&I compared to the U.S. Then there is market fragmentation, we’re struggling to scale high-growth startups. Diversity isn’t just nice to have - it’s a growth strategy. It’s how we unlock Europe’s full potential, drive competitiveness, and fuel innovation. So it isn’t whether we want more diversity.
