Researchers at Vanderbilt University Medical Center have made an important advancement in the development of a potential new treatment for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Positive findings from a clinical trial support further study of the investigational drug ifetroban to treat cardiac complications, the leading cause of death in patients with DMD. She had a goal to connect Nashville's startup community in a more positive, encouraging way, so she founded StartupNash, a supportive Slack community for founders. From there, she founded Britepeer, a tool connecting professionals by skill. Kelly specializes in solving marketing and growth challenges for early-stage companies. Using fundamental marketing concepts, she creatively tackle issues like decreasing churn, boosting engagement, and increasing referrals. John is Founder & CEO of Nashville Software School, Nashville's community non-profit coding bootcamp and talent incubator, working with a team of Nashville's leading software development professionals to launch an intensive apprenticeship-focused training program. The Vanderbilt University Medical Center team, including Vanderbilt Health Brock Family Center for Applied Innovation, along with partners from the Cleveland Clinic and the University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet) Copenhagen, is working on creating an antibody-antigen atlas, developing AI algorithms to analyze it, and using AI to identify antibodies for various medical conditions.
