Last week (12th March), our Project Lead, June Mukangula, took the stage at the Berlin Scaling Access to Finance for Agripreneurs conference hosted by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. She highlighted how bridging agriculture and finance is key to scaling agripreneurship across Africa. These were the key takeaways from her session: ➡️ Investor readiness builds confidence & unlocks capital. ➡️ Cross-border syndication models like Africa Business Angel Investment Vehicle (ABAIV) scale agritech solutions. ➡️ Blended finance de-risks early-stage ventures & drives impact. Through initiatives like the Climate Smart Agriculture Angel Network, we’re mobilizing early-stage investments in agritech. A prime example is the Legendary Foods (Africa) investment, which fuels innovation in alternative protein!
