The Construction Careers Council has released its 2024 Community Impact Report, showcasing our commitment to building a diverse and skilled workforce in West Michigan's construction industry. 🏗️ Key Highlights: 8,375 K-12 students explored construction careers $3,140,922 invested in training 1,264 professionals 425 engaged employers and 194 project volunteers 🚀 Our strategy focuses on Campaign, Train, and Sustain initiatives to address the projected demand for 16,000 new workers in the next six years. 🌟 Special shoutout to our "Women Who Build West Michigan" program, recognizing 18 exceptional women in the industry! As we reflect on 'Building Minds: A Conference on Mental Health in Construction,' we're overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who made this landmark event in West Michigan possible. It was truly inspiring to witness contractors, unions, professional associations, and mental health advocates step away from their demanding schedules to unite for a common cause. This first-of-its-kind gathering brought together diverse perspectives to tackle a critical issue: breaking the stigma surrounding mental health in the construction industry. The collaborative spirit and shared commitment demonstrated at this conference mark a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to prioritize well-being within our field. We extend our thanks to our knowledgeable speakers who shared their experiences and insights, enriching our understanding of mental health challenges in construction. Josh Zoerhof, Mark R.
