Updates

  • The Corporate Water Leaders initiative is excited to announce the official formation of the Textiles & Leather Taskforce, comprising major global fashion brands Burberry, H&M Group, Inditex, Kering, lululemon, LVMH, Nike and Primark. Together, we aim to drive #sustainablewater management across operations and mitigate water impacts at scale throughout the industry value chain.    As a first step, we’re developing a Common Water Framework (CWF) to unify the #textiles & leather industry around core expectations and encourage collective commitment to addressing shared water challenges. The CWF will provide a 'common language' which brands and their supply chain partners can apply to better communicate needs and measure performance related to #watermanagement and #waterstewardship.   We look forward to sharing progress on this project soon, as well as providing updates on our future endeavours towards building a sustainable and resilient textiles and leather value chain.

At Burberry, we value water as a precious resource and are committed to improving the management of water across our supply chain.    Recently, we became members of the Leather & Textile taskforce under the Corporate Water Leaders initiative, an international network of working groups dedicated to addressing industry-wide water challenges.      This is an important step in furthering our global Water Conservation Programme and its aim to build water resilience within our supply chain.       To discover more about our approach to water conservation as part of our Burberry Beyond strategy, click here: https://lnkd.in/ezUN6KXC
