Creative individuals have been invited to contribute towards an art installation set to be featured within a new exhibition opening later this year. Guiding Lights – Canopy of a Thousand Dreams at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, will showcase 1,000 hand-crafted leaves made by members of the public and local school children, attached to a large indoor tree sculpture. 

An iconic Stafford venue will reopen its doors later this month following a six-figure investment into its refurbishment. Social, located under Top of the World in Newport Road, has undergone significant work to transform it into a spot with state-of-the-art features, live entertainment and two distinct rooms catering for different tastes. 

Three local acts are set to perform an intimate gig in a historic town centre church. Borogoves, Walter Kocays and Dead Bird Lady will take to the stage at St Giles’ Church in Newcastle, in a Honey Box Live event made possible thanks to UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) support.

A ventilation manufacturer has been told to sell a Stoke-on-Trent site after a merger investigation. Lindab – a supplier of circular ducts and fittings used in ventilation systems in buildings – has been told to close one of two sites in the city, along with another in Nottingham, as its acquisition of HAS-Vent Holdings could lead to reduced choice and higher prices for installers in both cities.

A new bootcamp has been launched to help retail entrepreneurs boost their sales performance in the run up to Christmas. East Staffordshire Borough Council has partnered with small business support platform Enterprise Nation and Birmingham Enterprise Community for a three-week online bootcamp series which starts on 29 October. 

One of the world’s most accomplished male voice choirs is helping JCB hit a high note with its £2 million appeal for a children’s charity – by staging a special fundraising concert. The Fron Male Voice Choir is putting on a gala performance at the digger maker’s World HQ at Rocester on Saturday, 30 November.
