🌟 This week's #MeetTheTeam spotlight is on our Founder and President, Kim Warchol! 🌟 We asked Kim, "What is the most important thing to consider when choosing dementia care training programs?" Here’s what she had to say: "First, ask yourself, “What is my goal?” With clarity, the best training program to meet that goal, can be found. Below are three common responses we hear to the question of goals. 1️⃣ Compliance: An organization may want the fastest, easiest, cheapest way to “Be in compliance with regulatory requirements.” Trainings like this are available. 2️⃣ Problem/Solution: Some have a pain point or problem to solve, and they need a dementia training program with extensive content around the problem area(s). As an example, our dementia training also includes much about preventing and deescalating “behavior”. Our customers want the extensive dementia content in our Dementia Capable Care training, and they want to learn to safely reduce “behaviors” without reliance on drugs. 3️⃣ Outstanding Quality: An organization may want to invest more resources to specialize and stand out against the competition, furthering their high-quality brand and excelling as a leader in dementia care. This is the type of customer we often partner with- those who want to invest to be the best so their organization can market their distinguished expertise and attract a private pay market and referrals. **Anyway, you look at it you will be spending some time and money. What do you want that investment to do for you?** Next, how do you want you or your team to be trained - online learning, direct delivery in-person or virtual, or train-the-trainer? One customer recently said they selected our Certified Instructor program because they wanted to use our highly effective training program but felt it advantageous for their own leaders to train their team. Some, like us, offer train-the-trainer and the other delivery options." Thank you, Kim, for your dedication to improving dementia care! 💙 Choose to invest today and #JoinTheJourney to create a Dementia Capable Society: https://bit.ly/47qWV25 #DementiaCare #DementiaEducation #PersonCenteredCare #DementiaTraining

🌟 In this week's #MeetTheTeam, we're excited to feature Sharon Host, one of our dedicated Global Professional Instructors! 🌟 We asked Sharon, "How does our training make an impact on those living with dementia?" Here's her response: "If you’ve ever experienced a time when you were ignored or talked down to and then had the opposite experience where you were acknowledged and valued as an equal, it can give you an inkling of how our training changes the lives of people with dementia. You (the person with dementia) go from being a task on someone’s to do list to being seen as a person of value that can still contribute to all aspects of life. Can you imagine the change in perspective and well-being this brings to the person living with dementia and their care partners? It is life changing. Caregivers simply don’t know what they don’t know. Our training gives them the knowledge and skills to understand the right care and behavior approaches so they can provide care with confidence and competence. Caregivers begin to enjoy their jobs because they now know how to see the person behind the disease and how to keep that person in well-being instead of living in distress. The person with dementia begins to engage more in their life and have feelings of satisfaction, comfort, and security. The norm in our society is to think people with dementia are suffering. Investing in Dementia Capable Care means people with dementia can thrive, experience quality of life, and live free of distress behaviors. Come join us in our mission of creating a dementia capable society." Thank you, Sharon, for your commitment to improving dementia care. Your expertise and passion inspire us all! 💙 🌐 Want to make a meaningful impact in dementia care?
