Public speaking—whether you enjoy it or are terrified by the idea of it—can be a crucial skill that accelerates your career. I was recently asked how I stay so comfortable on stage while being authentically me. Here's my secret: Before I go into any high-profile meeting, event, or stage, I close my eyes and visualize my ancestors who had big dreams but couldn’t manifest them because of the times they lived in. I feel the power of the thousands of women who came before me, who helped open the door I am walking through to speak. I think about every single one of their voices, and how, for them, speaking up wasn’t always an option. So I walk into that room, onto that stage, with their power behind me. And, with that, my fearlessness kicks in, and I bring 110% of myself. What's your tip? FYI- This photo is from last year's Fast Company Panel- Companies that Dare to Care speaking alongside the powerhouses Samantha Maltin, EVP, Chief Marketing Sesame Workshop, Victoria Vaynberg, CMO, Zola. Moderated by David Salazar, Associate Editor, Fast Company.

Lisa had the incredible opportunity to attend the Fast Company Impact Council's Annual Meeting at the Stock Exchange in Manhattan recently. 📈 She spoke a bit about the experience, "It was a day packed with visionary talks, future-focused interactive breakout sessions, and inspiring conversations with some of the most innovative thinkers and entrepreneurs I've ever met 💭✨ (and that's saying a lot, given all the events I've attended this year!). We were on the trading floor as the closing bell rang and enjoyed a cocktail reception amidst GameStop's big comeback. 🍸🎮 Can't wait for Fast Company's Innovation Fest in September!" 🌟 #Future #Innovation #Technology #Creativity #Quantious #smartfastcurious #limitless #agencylife #ARcreators #AR #VR #metaverse #marketing #marketingagency #tech #technology #emergingtech #techmarketing #AI #AItech #techinnovation #fastcompany

At Fast Company’s annual Impact Council meeting, our CEO and founder, Navrina Singh, took the main stage to discuss the critical role of artificial intelligence and AI governance in today's business landscape. Here are some key takeaways from her session: 🔹 Embrace AI or Face Obsolescence: Navrina emphasized that adopting and embracing AI is no longer optional for companies. It's essential for their survival and success in this new era of reinvention. 🔹 Understanding and Mitigating Risks: She highlighted the importance of comprehending AI's risks and ensuring compliance with government standards. Companies must prioritize building trust through responsible practices. 🔹 Developing AI Literacy: Navrina stressed the need for AI proficiency across all job titles, not just having a chief AI officer. Multi-stakeholder oversight is crucial to managing AI’s impact on business outcomes and regulatory risks. Read more in the full article by Rebecca Barker to dive deeper into Navrina's insights and the future of AI in business! Link: https://lnkd.in/d3pgDzaM
