CDC #DiseaseDetective Camden Gowler investigated a parasitic disease outbreak involving people who became ill after eating undercooked bear meat. Trichinellosis is a rare parasitic disease linked to eating wild game, including bear meat. If eating bear or wild game meat, cook it to an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C) to protect yourself and others.
