HBA Southeast currently has chapters in Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Palm Beach, Research Triangle Park and Tampa. When members of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association come together, it’s with a shared purpose: to be a united force for change. We connect diverse groups of both women and men, across all healthcare and life science disciplines. By taking focused action to advance our mission, we’re creating a powerful movement that directly drives professional opportunity and corporate growth. We believe that by joining forces in the relentless pursuit of gender parity, we are doing more than uniting individuals—we are strengthening the business of healthcare.

    Thank you for joining HBA Miami for an insightful session with Coach Laurie Schloff, expert Communication Coach and Author, who gave us incredible insight into Powering Up Our Presence. We expanded out of our comfort zones, and learned the key areas we should flex to become expert communicators!     HBA Leadership Spotlight: Rosebud McMillan Kearney, MBA, HBA RTP Chapter Director-at-Large, Membership and Volunteering Rose joined the HBA through her involvement with the Black Employee Resource Group at a previous employer, and since then, it has been an incredible journey. She’s had the privilege of serving on the Membership and Engagement Committee, transitioning to the Director At Large role, and participating in the Mentorship program. HBA has empowered her to step out of her comfort zone and advocate for herself, helping her grow personally and professionally. Rose is grateful for the invaluable connections and the network she has built within this community. It is truly an honor to work alongside such inspiring women in the shared mission to advance gender equity. Rose brings over 13 years of experience in the Clinical Research industry, with roles ranging from Clinical Support Associate to Study Manager within Parexel’s FSP Department, where she works with a leading pharmaceutical company. Her expertise spans multiple therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular, oncology, medical devices, general medicine, and dermatology. Rose has worked across all phases of clinical trials, providing extensive experience in project management, study operations, and project coordination. Currently, Rose supports a cardiovascular trial, leading initiatives such as planning and managing Investigator Meetings, overseeing eTMF maintenance and audit readiness, and managing vendors, clinical systems, and reports. Rose holds a Bachelor’s degree in Women and Gender Studies from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Fayetteville State University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Health Sciences from Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Rose is married to Al Kearney, and they have two daughters, Alivia and Ava. With a 2-year-old and a 5-month-old, her free time is limited, but she cherishes spending time with her family, whether exploring local parks, enjoying play dates, or discovering new restaurants.     HBA Leadership Spotlight: Gayle Flynn, HBA RTP Chapter Director-at-Large, Marketing and Communications Gayle Flynn is an accomplished Engagement Delivery Partner at Cognizant, where she has made significant contributions over the past nine years. With more than 20 years of experience in clinical research, she is recognized for her leadership in driving innovation within Interactive Response Technology (IRT) and clinical supplies. In 2021, Gayle was honored as a Luminary by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) and currently serves as the Director at Large for Marketing for the RPT Chapter, as well as a dedicated HBA mentor. She is also a community lead for The WIT Network, where she fosters connections and support among women in the IT industry. Recently, Gayle was named a finalist in the 21st Stevie Awards for Women in Business in the Social Change Maker of the Year - Gender category, highlighting her commitment to making a positive impact. Actively engaged in her community, she believes in the power of giving back.     HBA Leadership Spotlight: Marianne Levandoski, HBA RTP Chapter Programming Director Marianne is committed to igniting the talent and passion of the next generation whilst nurturing creativity and innovation within healthcare. She has mentored dozens of individuals through internal Labcorp programs and external programs such as the HBA Southeast mentoring program. She is part of the HBA Circle of Advisor Program which promotes leadership development and imaginative problem solving. Marianne is currently the HBA RTP Programming Director. She also focuses on improving networking and supporting key areas of advancement, inclusion, connection and community. She believes the effect we have on others is the most valuable currency there is. Marianne joined Labcorp 16 years ago. For the first 13 years, as the VP of Strategic Souring and Procurement, she transformed and elevated a tactical domestic purchasing team with a handful of indirect categories into an enterprise wide, world class, global strategic sourcing and procurement organization responsible for all direct and indirect categories. She mentored and significantly enhanced the knowledge base of the strategic sourcing and procurement associates and improved the value add brought to their business partners by having extensive and thorough understanding of supply chain and the laboratory industry. She has worked on over 50 merger, acquisition and divestiture deals and subsequent integration efforts realizing significant synergy savings. For the next 2 years, Marianne led the Enterprise Third Party Risk Management (ETPRM) Governance and Gating effort as part of the Corporate Affairs Organization. Prior to her involvement in ETPRM, the various risk assessment efforts were not centralized, standardized, or consistently performed. For the past year Marianne has been defining and establishing a Legal Operations function in Labcorp. Marianne is very active in her community. She has been on various nonprofit boards such as ISM, Girl Scouts, Catholic Daughters and Women in Business Alumni. She has been on several Customer Advisory Boards for major suppliers. She has led/participated many fund raisers for Carolina Tiger Rescue, Victory Junction and Pink Ribbon Foundation. She volunteers weekly at nursing homes where she never met anyone she did not consider to be another of her emotional (non-biological) grandparents. In 2020, Marianne received the Triad Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business award which celebrates local women who are leaders in the community and who are committed to the advancement of women in business. Residing in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Marianne can often be found enjoying family outings with her husband Michael, their kids Michaella, Michael Jr and Edith and their grandbaby Jack.
