Yesterday I was in Owen Sound where we spotlighted Hydrogen Optimized, one of Hydrogen Ontario's members. We got some local media coverage which helps spread the word on the local benefits of hydrogen and demystify the sector. “Hydrogen Optimized plays a huge role in helping heavy industry – steel, cement, chemical industry, refineries – to decarbonize,” said Althaus. “(and) It is a prime example of how much these companies contribute to local value and job creation.” Nothing to add ;) Thanks to New Economy Canada for the excellent collaboration! We are hosting New Economy Canada, the Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) and local leaders at all levels of government and the business community in Owen Sound, Ontario today. We’re also honoured that Hydrogen Optimized was selected as the first stop on New Economy Canada’s “Getting things built” cross-Canada tour. Today’s event is intended to generate a discussion on how the power of hydrogen is being unleashed to reduce emissions, create jobs and grow local economies across Canada, including in Owen Sound and the Grey-Bruce region.
