The US 34 and Taft Avenue intersection is about to undergo a significant "glow-up" this year, lasting into the spring of 2025. ✨ This intersection has been a concern in our community, and we're excited to make improvements that will last for decades to come. Phase 1 includes nighttime construction work from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., starting tentatively on Monday, July 8. As we head into construction, please be prepared for detours and traffic impacts in this area, and spread the word to your neighbors, friends, and fellow visitors traveling along US 34 and Taft Avenue. Business access will always be maintained throughout construction, so be sure to follow our signage while navigating the area. This project is funded through three main funding streams: the Congestion Mitigation Air Quality Grant, Transportation Capital Expansion Fees, and the General Fund (allocated from 2021-2023). The City is able to complete this project by leveraging the grants that were awarded for it. Watch the video to learn more, or follow the progress of this project: https://lnkd.in/gJ6AC3GU

  • 🏢 Downtown Loveland getting 3 new businesses 🙌 Sage Speakeasy, Writing Heights and Urban Field opening By AUSTIN FLESKES | afleskes@prairiemountainmedia.com LOVELAND REPORTER-HERALD PUBLISHED: June 24, 2024 at 5:02 p.m. | UPDATED: June 24, 2024 at 5:06 p.m. Local residents and travelers alike have a few new places to stop in downtown Loveland. 🛍 Two new businesses — Sage Speakeasy and Tavern and Writing Heights — recently opened and, in around a month, Urban Field will join the business community as well. Sage Speakeasy and Tavern 🎷 Sage Speakeasy and Tavern officially opened its doors on the southwest side of the Cleveland Station building in downtown Monday, offering a space for people to come and enjoy a drink, listen to some music and take in its atmosphere; the new business also means Cleveland Station is now 100% full of tenants, according to Sean Hawkins, executive director of the Loveland Downtown District. “It is that Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday vibe with a good old fashioned (or) a Manhattan sitting in your hand, relaxing and listening to music and having a conversation with a loved one or a friend or even a business meeting,” she said. Menard said Sage will not only offer several food items, from shareable choices like the charcuterie board to brunch options like the French toast board, to a series of cocktails. She said she hopes the new downtown spot will be a fresh option for people to spend time at together. Writing Heights Writers Association ✍ Writing Heights Writers Association, which celebrated its grand opening over the weekend, is a professional hybrid writers association for authors who are published or intending to get published, providing them with educational opportunities, networking resources and more. The business took over the building formerly occupied by Cupcake Gypsies. “The decision to try and get downtown really had a lot to do with not only still providing that space for our members for the basic services we provide but also, hopefully, just making the community more aware that we exist,” said Director Amy Rivers. She said Writing Heights is meant to help increase exposure for new authors, adding the hope is to create reader-centric events at the new location to introduce the Loveland community and its readers to different authors who “have something to fit everybody’s tastes.” Urban Field 🍕 Urban Field, the pizza and market business that has opened in Longmont years ago, will be expanding northward soon, as its second location is set to open in downtown Loveland at the former Crow Hop taproom in mid-July. The menu ranges between several different food options, from three different pasta dishes to multiple sandwiches to 10 specialty pizzas alongside weekly specials and build-your-own options. “Loveland has been a huge support to us so we are so excited (to open),” he said. 👇 Read the full article: https://bit.ly/4blQkHU

  • 🌟 Breaking News: Positive Outcome for Loveland! 🌟   In a remarkable turn of events, the Loveland City Council has made a decisive move to restore the Centerra South pacts it had previously rescinded, voting 7-2 to restore the Centerra South urban-renewal plan and financial agreement.   This decision signals a continued commitment to economic vitality and a willingness to seek amicable solutions.
